The Aston Martin DB9 was introduced as the direct successor to the DB7 grand tourer, boasting performance advancements and elegantly refined lines. This 2005 Volante convertible is finished in Merlot Red Metallic over Sandstorm leather and was appointed at an original cost of over $169k. Originally sold in California and previously listed on PCARMARKET, this DB9 is now being offered for auction by the same seller out of its home state showing just over 7k miles on the odometer.
This DB9 comes finished in Merlot Red Metallic (1342) paired with a tan convertible top. Equipment includes swan-wing doors with color-keyed handles, fender vents, mesh lower grilles, projector-beam xenon headlights with power washers, chrome-trimmed side windows and body-side moldings, black brake calipers with white Aston Martin text, rear LED fog lights, and dual polished exhaust finishers. The 15-spoke polished wheels are dressed in Bridgestone Potenza tires. The seller notes that slight imperfections are present on the soft top. The Sandstorm leather interior is accented with mahogany wood veneers on the upper door panels and upper center stack. Amenities include automatic climate control, a pop-up navigation system, an analog clock, aluminum-faced instrumentation, DB9-branded door sills, power accessories, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and an AM/FM/CD stereo system. The seller notes signs of wear on the seat bolsters and steering wheel.
The DB9 equips a hand-built 6.0-liter DOHC 48-valve V12 rated at 450 HP and 420 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by a six-speed automatic transmission, a carbon fiber driveshaft, and a limited-slip differential, allowing the DB9 to achieve 0-60 MPH run in 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 192 MPH. Performance features include a stainless-steel exhaust system with active bypass valves, Brembo brakes with electronic brake force distribution, speed-sensitive power steering, and double wishbone forged aluminum suspension. Recent service completed in June of 2022 includes a maintenance inspection and replacement of the spark plugs, drive belts, oil, and filter.

@Intermeccanica in picture 38 you can see the date code of 1722 on the tires which indicates they were produced in the 17th week of 2022.

@Intermeccanica We do not have any of the service records from between 05'-21', only record of the last service done at Los Gatos.
Coil packs done with plugs? Beautiful car!
Do you have any maintenance records from the 16 years spanning 2005-2021? The fact that the 18yo tires haven't been replaced since delivery make me suspect that annual service and oil changes weren't done as recommended either.
