The Aston Martin DB9 was introduced in 2003 featuring aluminum composite bodywork designed by Ian Callum and Henrik Fisker. This 2005 Volante convertible is finished in Merlot Red Metallic over Sandstorm leather and was appointed at an original cost of over $169k. Sold new in California, this DB9 is now being offered for auction out of its home state showing just over 7k miles on the odometer.
The exterior is finished in Merlot Red Metallic (1342) paired with a tan convertible top. Equipment includes swan-wing doors with color-keyed handles, fender vents, mesh lower grilles, projector-beam xenon headlights with power washers, chrome-trimmed side windows and body-side moldings, black brake calipers with white Aston Martin text, rear LED fog lights, and dual polished exhaust finishers. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The 15-spoke polished wheels are dressed in Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires codes from 2004 and 2005.
The interior is trimmed in Sandstorm leather accented with mahogany wood veneers on the upper door panels and upper center stack. Amenities include automatic climate control, a pop-up navigation system, an analog clock, aluminum-faced instrumentation, DB9-branded door sills, power accessories, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and an AM/FM/CD stereo system. The seller notes signs of wear on the seat bolsters and steering wheel.
The DB9 equips a hand-built 6.0L DOHC 48-valve V12 producing up to 450 HP and 420 lb.-ft of torque when new. The rear wheels are driven by a six-speed automatic transmission, a carbon fiber driveshaft, and a limited-slip differential which allow the DB9 to reach 60 MPH from a standstill in 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 192 MPH. Performance features include a stainless-steel exhaust system with active bypass valves, Brembo brakes with electronic brake force distribution, speed-sensitive power steering, and double wishbone forged aluminum suspension. Recent service completed in June of 2022 includes a maintenance inspection and replacement of the spark plugs, drive belts, oil, and filter.

Pretty car but who drives with 18 year old tires??
I have an '09 Volante with 33K miles. that I've had for 3 years. Great cars. NOTHING I've ever had in my garage sounds like that V-12 when it first starts!! Or when driving if you have removed the fuse that 're-routes' the exhaust during normal driving. The condition of the burl on this car may be the best I've ever seen on an Aston DB9 for sale in the past 3 years. Mine has the bamboo, so doesn't have the discoloration from heat usually seen in the burls.

@ninerfan Current owner is the 2nd owner
Bought in 2007
Didn’t license it immediately
It was on a two year lease then I bought it from a dealer in Oregon. First owner in LA.
Bid in the amount of $20,500
What happened between the original owner selling in March 2007 and your purchase in November 2015?
@ninerfan photo 26 shows swirls, not scratches. A light polishing will correct this.
@ninerfan Photo 84 shows recent service performed. All electronics including the convertible top, door locks, transmission shift module, etc work properly.
What are the apparent scratches in photo 26?
Do the electronics including the convertible top, door locks, transmission shift module, etc work properly? What is the recent service history including fluid and filter changes?
Bid in the amount of $20,250
Thanks.

@Piantanida1 It was stored in a climate controlled warehouse. The seat is not that dirty. ( that is a terrible pic). We will have extra photos taken of the seats to show condition in different lighting as well as all of the receipts uploaded later today.
What happened to the car since 2015 and really, since it was first purchased in 2007 with the first owner? No service records? You drove the car putting on 4,000 miles in 7 years? It looks like the convertible top window is starting to pull away from the canvas. Was the car stored outside? Why is the driver's seat so dirty?
I have the 2008 version of this car. It is amazingly smooth and is very elegant. The only issue is you have to be careful with bumps in the road.
