Available for auction is this 2004 Volkswagen MK4 R32 finished in Deep Blue Pearl over a black leather interior. The R32 was unveiled as the pinnacle of Volkswagen's R-line family and was limited to 5,000 units for the U.S. market. The original R32 is one of the most recognizable and adored hot hatchbacks of all time. It features the renowned VR6 engine, a 6-speed manual transmission, and a Haldex all-wheel drive system. This two-owner example was originally purchased in Atlanta Georgia in 2004 and remained with its original owner until it was tarded to an Atlanta Volkswagen dealer in 2020. It was subsequently acquired by the seller in July 2020 and has been driven just over 1,200 miles since. This legendary hot-hatchback is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Georgia while showing just under 128k miles on its odometer.
The R32 is differentiated from the contemporary Golf with a revised rear spoiler, bumper covers, side skirts, and dual polished exhaust outlets. This example comes finished in the iconic shade of Deep Blue Pearl and is said to remain in excellent overall condition for its age. Small rock chips are present at the front end and the rear bumpers show a few small scratches. Detailed images can be found in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX. This example retains its R32 exclusive 18” OZ racing Aristo wheels, which come dressed in a set of Pirelli Cinturato P7 all-season tires bearing date codes from 2019.
Inside, you’ll find a black interior highlighted by R32 exclusive Konig bucket seat with Volkswagen R-line logo embroidery. The R32 features standard brushed aluminum trim, pedals with R-line cladding, a power sliding sunroof, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a shift knob emblazoned with the 4Motion logo. Amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, and a Monsoon audio system with cassette and CD players. The cabin is said to remain in excellent condition, and the seller notes that the driver seat was reupholstered and the headliner was replaced. The seller also confirms that all gauges, electronics, and accessories remain functional.
This R32 is equipped with a 3.2-liter DOHC 24-valve VR6 engine which is rated at approximately 237 HP. All four wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission making for a 0-60 time of approximately 6.5 seconds. The Haldex 4Motion all-wheel drive system strategically delivers power to the rear wheels when front traction is lost, providing for an enhanced grip around corners. The CARFAX includes 23 service history records dating back as far as 2010, the seller notes that following their acquisition of the car service has included new tires, an air conditioning filter, cabin filter, timing chain, front brake pads and rotors, fuel filter, oil pan, a Haldex service, and an oil and filter change.
This sale will include owner literature, extra front floor mats, and a clean title.

@Mageakeem , Hello my intension is to sale the car today, so please bid so you don't miss the opportunity. Per Pcarmarket's policy, I'm not allowed to discuss the reserve. Thanks for your interest.
Is this car hitting the reserve today or not!? that is the question.
I wonder if were still far from it.

@joemfbrown Hello, thank you for your interest. Yes, one of the items that I made sure the VW dealership did as part of the sale was to replace the timing chain. The service order was a complete timing service with all new guides and tensioners. This work was done in July 2020 at approx. 126,810 miles. Thanks again for showing interest.
Hi, great-looking car in a killer spec. Question: Could not tell from Carfax docs if the timing chain tensioners have been done. Sorry for such a nitpicky Q, but as an owner I am sure you know the deal there. Thanks very much, and I look forward to joining the scrum here soon.

I've been wanting this car since 2004, but at the time couldn't afford it. So when I had the opportunity to buy one, it was a dream come true and has been a pleasure to drive and own.
I think you guys listed the regular 24V VR6 GTI 0-60 times. The R32 was a sub-6 second 0-60 according to a quick Google. Pretty fast for a Golf...
This is the original color I wanted. I had a reflex silver that latter on became a twin HPA turbo I sold my car in 2013 with about 50k miles. Last I herd the car was in Florida
