Topping Porsche’s Cayenne model range for the 2004 model year, this Turbo comes finished in Dark Sea Blue over a Havanna and Sand Beige leather interior. It was ordered with the optional Dark Burr Wood Package as well as a Dark Burr Wood steering wheel, Soft Look Leather Seats, 4-zone air conditioning, a rear-mounted spare, and 20” Cayenne Sport Design wheels. This Cayenne derives up to 450 HP from a twin-turbocharged V8 engine and comes standard with PASM air suspension and a 6-speed Tiptronic S transmission. Said to have been cared for by only two owners while always serviced at a local Porsche dealership, this Cayenne Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida while showing under 46k miles on the odometer.
This Cayenne is finished in Dark Sea Blue and is distinguishable as a Turbo model by its large front air intakes, red brake calipers, and quad exhaust outlets. Equipment includes a rare swing-out spare wheel carrier, brushed silver trim, bi-xenon headlights, power-retractable mirrors, an opening glass rear window, and 20” Cayenne Sport Design wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. The seller describes the exterior to be in very good condition while showing some light scratches as depicted in the gallery. A clean CARFAX report is also provided for reference.
The cabin is appointed with Havanna and Sand Beige leather upholstery complemented by a matching Alcantara headliner and the optional Dark Burr Wood Package. Driver amenities include heated electric comfort seats in Soft Look Leather, front seat memory settings, a Bose sound system, an electric moonroof, 4-zone air-conditioning, stainless-steel door entry guards and pedal covers, a parking assist system, a power-adjustable multifunction steering wheel, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation. Some signs of wear are noted on plastic trim pieces, the rear door actuators are working intermittently, and some faulty pixels are noted on the PCM display.
A twin-turbocharged 4.5-liter V8 DOHC engine generates up to 450 HP and 457 lb.-ft of torque and is paired with a 6-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission and Porsche Traction Management (PTM) permanent all-wheel drive. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in approximately 5 seconds. Standard equipment includes a self-leveling air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Stability Management (PCM), Servotronic speed-sensitive power steering, and vented disc brakes with fixed 6-piston aluminum calipers in the front and 4-piston calipers in the rear. The seller states all available maintenance history is provided on the CARFAX report and a new battery will be installed prior to the sale.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare wheel, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “We appreciate your interest in our auction featuring this remarkable 2004 Cayenne Turbo, 1st Gen, with low mileage. This vehicle has been impeccably maintained throughout its lifespan. Both previous owners entrusted its servicing to the reputable Porsche dealership (The Collection), with a comprehensive record of the performed services available on the CARFAX report. The stunning Dark Blue on Sand Beige exterior presents a truly elegant and sought-after color combination, while the rear-mounted spare tire adds a touch of rarity to this exceptional model.”

@pcarmarkert Can you please post the videos that I uploaded this mornings? Thanks!
@Emerald-45 The door lock actuators on these cars are a common failure. What happens is that sometimes the car is unlocked but the door wont open from the outside. When that happens you have to give it a little tap just below the door handle for it to work. No issues on the front two doors.
Please explain " the rear door lock actuators" what is the issue ??
I just uploaded a video of the full sunroof operation and a video of the undercarriage. I also uploaded more undercarriage pictures. More coming as time allows. Thank you!

@msa615 Pic #28 shows the cover. It just has some deterioration around the edges. From what I can tell, this is not an original cover, and the original covers are no longer available. All the ones I have seen in person are uncovered.
Can you send a picture of the cover for the spare tire installed If it is in bad shape can a replacement be purchased and if so what would be the cost
@msa615 I'm not sure if the 8/22 Recall was addressed yet. It looks like all others were. There is a cover over the rear mounted tire but it's not in great shape. I would just remove it. The arm itself is locked by the car and to remove the wheel you wave to open the arm to release the tire. It's very secure. No rear view camera so no issues there. The only issue I have come across are the pixels on the head unit, and the rear door lock actuators.

@msa615 It’s a paper Florida title in the owners name. We’re selling the car on consignment for a long time customer.
We can assist with all transport, but no temp tags. You would have to register the car in your state for a tag.
@likemytoys No, but I was able to get under the car, inspect and take the pictures I posted. No rust and no accidents. I’ll do my best to get it on the lift and/or do a video of the undercarriage.
Are there any open recalls Is there a cover over the tire mounted on the rear gate Is there a lock on it so it can’t be removed by someone Does it obstruct the rear view camera view Any current issues with the vehicle
Thxs
Is it a Florida title (paper or electronic) electronic is a problem in Connecticut
Who’s name is the title in
Are you able to assist with shipping or Florida temp tag

Hi @VertexAuto - Were you able to get the Cayenne up on a lift? I assume no rust/corrosion? Thank you
@skinnyphat Yes, sunroof is fully operational. I'll make sure to get it on the video.
Good Q&A so far. I assume the sunroof is fully operational? Can you show that in your driving video? Thanks
@canamboy Absolutely! It looks like we should have some good weather here tomorrow. I'll get it up ASAP.
Also can you confirm that the Off-road and Air Suspension switches are fully functional?
Hey Vertex...any chance we can get a driving video?
@pmastrangelo I have confirmed that both the coolant pipes and the drive shaft have been addressed already on this Cayenne. The drive shaft received an EPS eternal solution clamp so the new owner won't have to worry about the drive shaft or the coolant pipes. Here is a list of major services that were recently completed. Service documents will be included in the sale.
4/23 - Valve cover gaskets, spark plug seals, oil change, battery.
3/22 - Driver's door lock actuator, self leveling sensors.
6/22 - Coolant pipes, coolant flush, starter.
1/20 - Brake booster, vacuum pump, brake lines, brake fluid flush.
5/18 - Multi Rib belt, air filter, cabin filter, oil change, front & rear brake pads, brake fluid flush, drive shaft clamping support, coolant flush, transmission fluid change, differential gear lube change, battery.
@VertexAuto Thank you. Were you able to get the vehicle up on a lift to take underside pics?
@FunRide32 It is. Price depends on the brand hitch you want to install. Let me speak to the shop and get some options and quotes.
@FunRide32 I just inspected it up close. No signs of rust or paint imperfections. I think it's just the reflection. Does the video show it any better?
@likemytoys I just uploaded a walk around video with a close up of the headliner and the area that has the scratches. It's near the rear of the passenger door. I could not find any dents or other scratches.
I confirmed that the rear spare wheel cover is removable. If the new owner wants it removed, we can do it prior to delivery. I confirmed that the tires are good. No cracking and lots of thread. I uploaded close up pics of the tire thread and the date stamp I found. (0620)
Is a trailer hitch feasible on this particular Cayenne? If so could your shop do the install? Estimate of parts and labor

pic 5/92 looked like bubbling rust at base however looks clear at other angles

@likemytoys Thank you! No worries at all. Ask all the questions you need. I'll try to get some close up pics of the scratches later today. I thought they would come out in the pics but I guess they are too fine. The tires look very new. I'll post some close ups of the thread and look for date stamps. Yes, the rear mounted tire cover is removable with no issues at all. I'll remove and post a pic. This is an all original paint example. No major dents. I'll point out any minor dents I notice in a walk around video. Just waiting for the weather here in South Florida to cooperate. Not sure about the headliner but it looks to be original. I'll get the rest of the headliner in the video as well. Thanks again!
@vertexauto - Nice Cayenne. A few questions:
The description notes some light scratches as depicted in the gallery. I couldn't see these - Can you point them out? How is the condition of the tires? Do you know how old/how many miles? Is the flimsy cover that is around the spare tire removable, with the tire still fitting nicely in the rear spare carrier? (I am not used to seeing that black cover). Is all paint original? Any dents? Is the headliner original? I noticed some scratches in/around the headliner trim. My apologies for all of the questions - Just wanted to get them out of the way in advance of bidding.
Thank you
@FunRide32 Same Vertex. That's awesome! Let's keep them on the road.
Is This seller the same Vertex that does the engine rebuilds? A friend recently had a base 986 2.5L engine rebuild by Vertex and installed by local Clearwater shop. He could not be happier. The 24 year old boxster now runs and sounds like a supercar
@FunRide32 definitely no rust. What pic number are you referring to?
From side pic it looks like rust at bottom of drivers door and front Left panel, can you confirm?
@pmastrangelo - I don't believe either has been done. I'll be getting it up on the lift today for underside pics and will confirm.
Have coolant tubes been done and driveshaft?
