Designated as No. 367 of 1,953 examples produced in total, this rare 2004 Porsche Boxster S "50 Years of 550 Spyder Edition" celebrates one of Porsche’s most iconic historic race cars. This limited-edition model comes finished in GT Silver Metallic over a Cocoa leather interior and features special painted wheels and a more powerfully tuned engine along with several unique design elements. This example has remained under the care of its second owner from approximately 8,800 miles onward and benefits from an upgraded IMS bearing, clear paint protection film, and history of routine maintenance. Now showing just under 59k miles on the odometer, this Boxster S is now being offered for sale out of Minnesota.
This limited-edition model wears a GT Silver Metallic finish complemented by a Cocoa brown convertible top, a unique stacked-tip exhaust finisher, and painted 18” Carrera wheels. The car rides on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport tires from 2019. A removable black factory hardtop is also said to accompany the sale. Clear paint protection film is applied to the hood and front fenders, and the seller notes the car has always been kept in storage during the winter months. The finish is described to be in very good overall condition with only a few small imperfections as well as some scratches on the wheels.
The cabin features special Cocoa leather upholstery including Sport Seats and a three-spoke steering wheel with perforated grips. GT Silver Metallic painted trim accents the center console, dashboard, door handles, and instrument surround. The front center console has been removed using an OEM GT3-style delete kit and the original console is said to be included in the sale as well. Some signs of wear are noted on the seats and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be working properly.
This Boxster S features a 3.2-liter flat-six engine producing up to 266 HP using a factory-tuned sport exhaust system. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. This special edition also came equipped as standard with a lowered and stiffened suspension, sport shifter, and 5mm wheel spacers. The seller states the water pump and IMS bearing have been replaced during their ownership and routine service has been performed by themselves as well as Porsche Minneapolis and Courtney Truck Service. An extensive collection of maintenance records is said to be available.
This sale will include the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, a removable hardtop, and a clean title.

didn't put bumper plugs in the holes.
@qtrfoil. In this case, however, the front bumper already has holes drilled for the license plate bracket. So, might as well just put the plate back on.
@zollerm It keeps you from drilling holes in the bumper cover. Preserves the car, and helpful if the car gets sold to a state which doesn't require front plates
That makes sense. Great idea.
@zollerm many Porsche people and other car enthusiasts don't like front plates. this is a mount the goes in the tow hook hole. The plate can easily be removed at car events.
Sir, why is the front plate mounted in its current position? Thanks

@Dreammachines1 The paint is GT silver metallic, the seats are Cocoa brown perforated sport seats, Cocoa Brown convertible top, factory select engine with 10 more HP, factory short shifter, wheels are two tone Carrara gray brakes are painted silver instead of red, 5 mm factory wheel spacers and stiffer suspension.
@gac-tc I believe it was a LN engineering, it is not registered that I know of. it was done on 5/15/12 by Courtney Truck service a local Porsche aftermarket shop and race shop. There are no dents the front bumper has a line or indent in it. No major paint damages.
What brand was used for the IMS fix? Is it registered with that company? There is mention that there are some imperfections in the paintwork, but are there any dents, dings or major scratches?
What makes this different from a regular 2004 Boxster S?
@Boxster951 thanks!
