Finished in Speed Yellow over a Black full leather interior, this 2004 Porsche 996 Turbo Cabriolet was optioned with the X50 Powerkit which increases the output of its twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine. At an original sticker price of over $156k, this Turbo Cabriolet launch car was also equipped with the Aluminum/Chrome Package, painted hardback Sport Seats, a painted rear center console, yellow brake calipers, and a 6-speed manual transmission. It has also been customized with extensive carbon fiber trim pieces as well as upgraded Bilstein coilovers, SSR GT3 wheels, an IPD plenum, a short shift kit, a Sachs Stage 2.5 clutch kit, and welded coolant pipes. This 996 was acquired by the seller from its long-term second owner in 2019 and is now being offered for auction out of Pennsylvania while showing just over 81k miles on the odometer.
This 996 is finished in the unmistakable Porsche color of Speed yellow with Turbo-specific bodywork including wide fenders with integrated side air intakes, unique bumpers, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. The car was optioned with factory yellow-painted brake calipers and has been fitted with aftermarket LED taillights. It rides on aftermarket 18” SSR GT3 multi-piece wheels that were dressed in new Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires in 2020 within the last 600 miles. The seller adds that the front end is preserved by a layer of clear paint protection film and a removable hardtop is included with the sale. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Black full leather interior features an optional painted rear center console, Speed Yellow seatbelts, and Sport Seats with painted backrest shells. The optional Aluminum/Chrome Package also adds aluminum instrument dials, stainless steel door entry guards, and an aluminum shifter inlay. Aftermarket carbon fiber pieces include the door pulls and armrests, inner door sills, ignition surround, handbrake cover, and steering wheel. An upgraded Kenwood DNX 893S audio system has been installed as well.
This 996 is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine featuring the optional X50 Powerkit which adds larger K24 turbochargers and intercoolers along with revised ECU programming and a quad-tip exhaust for an output of up to 444 HP and 457 lb.-ft of torque. All four wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transmission with a short shift kit and a Sachs Stage 2.5 clutch kit that was installed in 2020. The engine has been upgraded with an IPD intake plenum and welded coolant pipes, and the suspension features upgraded Bilstein PSS9 coilovers. The seller states an extensive collection of service records are included with the sale and all maintenance has been kept up to date.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a car cover, a removable hardtop, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a meticulously maintained Turbo X-50 with the famous Mezger engine. The car has a few very tasteful modifications which accentuate its natural beauty and power. This car is a pleasure to drive but is no joke when you push it. The exhaust note is throaty and serious. Always indoor stored with my collection clean and ready for top-down fun.”

@shamansky hello, thank you for the question. As I addressed in an earlier comment, I am in Tennessee and won’t be home until late on Thursday. I am sorry
Possible to come and see the car Wednesday morning?
@J4177 The spoiler rams work, I extended them manually for display.
Do the spoiler rams work or is the spoiler currently stuck in the up position?
Thanks

Finding if the car has been tube is way the Dme report fill SS how how many tunes have been written in. I got a turbo coupe with k24/18s hybrid turbos gt2 RS intercoolers and a bunch of other mods. The factory exhaust on these cars is restrictive .36 back pressure my exhaust has only only .16 back pressure I also have performance headers that have been gasket matched . So this car can be improved further I also have the Sachs 2.5 clutch which is great. Anyway speed yellow is an awesome and unique color. I have an integrated k 40 tsar detector that has saved me from many tickets .
@Msmitty64 Normally yes, but I am on vacation in Tennessee until Thursday, sorry.
@spdracer35 I purchased the car as it is listed, there are no additional OEM parts that will come with this sale.
@luis.seneriz I will get a hardtop pic up soon. I did not have an ecu tune done under my ownership, and have no records of the previous owner doing it, but the car is Very fast and I cannot rule it out.
