The first year in which the model was offered in the United States, the original 911 GT3 underwent significant changes in 2004 including revised aerodynamic bodywork and a more powerfully tuned Mezger flat-six engine. Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Black full leather, this example was generously optioned with a thicker steering wheel, power Sport Seats, Xenon Headlamp Package, carbon door sills with logos, aluminum instrument dials, a leather rear center console, aluminum/carbon trim along the brake & shifter, and Custom Tailoring (special wishes that require further communication.) Significant modifications include CSF all-aluminum radiators, regeared transmission for a closer ratio, an OSD Giken 24-plate limited-slip differential, 996 Cup shift cables, and much more. Showing approximately 34k miles on the odometer, this GT3 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Massachusetts.
Often referred to as the 996.2 version, the updated 2004 Porsche 911 GT3 used a wider bodyshell derived from the Carrera 4 along with a revised headlight design, a redesigned front fascia, and a new rear wing. This example is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with optional xenon headlamps and colored Porsche crest center caps. It rides on 18” 911 GT3 wheels wrapped in new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Paint protection film has been applied to the front bumper, entire hood, front fenders, headlights, rockers, A-pillars, and front edge of the roof, with some wear and pitting especially behind the rear wheels and on the rocker panels. It also features black vinyl racing stripes on the hood, roof, and decklid, and has been ceramic coated with Opticoat Pro+. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin presents Black full leather upholstery as part of the Leather Interior Package. Other options include a thicker steering wheel, power Sport seats, a storage compartment lid with a GT3 logo, black floor mats with Porsche lettering, air conditioning with full climate control. Exclusive options include carbon door sills with model insignias, aluminum instrument dials, a leather rear center console. Porsche-crested headrests, and the brake & shifter in carbon & aluminum. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be in working order.
Powered by a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine, the GT3’s engine was updated with lighter pistons, longer titanium connecting rods, and an upgraded VarioCam system starting in the 2004 model year. Factory-rated at 380 HP and 284 lb.-ft of torque, power is sent to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A list of mechanical modifications and noteworthy service items are shown below:

@Rosinante Paint is original. Trying to upload 11 pictures of paint meter but they seem to be stuck and there is now no time to resolve. There is PPE on a lot of the car and the readings on the PPE run from 260 to 290. Areas without PPE from 88 to 126..

Sorry for the late question, is the paint original? Paint meter readings? Thanks

The 996 GT3 is a near perfect track day car.
This one started life optioned as a luxury GT3 but a previous owner probably found Rennlist and how-to info for all the upgrades (RS front, suspension, box, diff.) I worked in a shop that built up 996 and 997 GT3 and RS for track day (when they were "affordable") and I can't fault the decisions in this car.
I wonder about any "offs" and repairs.
The other main thing would be any over-revs.
The rather expensive upgrades to the gearbox would make it lively.
The fabspeed exhaust can be a tad raucous.

Previous owner tracked the car for sure and the current owner did track days. Drove to the track and back also. Obviously only from about may to September each year in the northeast
Looks like a nice car. Lots of track specific modifications and looks like track tires in the suspension photos. Can you comment on how much track history the current owner is aware of?

The silver GT3 wheels that are on the car. Those are the only ones we have.
Thanks
@Silverstone @Silverstone, thanks for the quick answer.
Quick question about the wheels and tires - In the original options list, wheels are indicated as colored crest center caps, and the photos have gt3 center caps. What comes with the car?

@GT3er The owner is on the west coast at the moment, I will ask him for that when he returns.. Thanks
Can we get a picture of the left portion of the window sticker showing options list with pricing?
Never mind - just saw that it was addressed in the description
Are the stripes painted or vinyl?
@tonytuzz Hello there.. It's the OEM bumper with the cutouts added. We have the pieces that were removed if someone wanted to have them put back and yes, the plumbing on the center radiator was done exactly as you asked.
Thanks
Also one small correction: while it is indeed based on a C4 body shell for rigidity purposes, this is a narrow body car. Only the C4S and turbo were widebody in these years.
Neat car. Can you confirm if the cup/RS front bumper is oem and if it’s poly or fiberglass? Also, has the center radiator been flipped and replumbed to take advantage of the top ducts/chimney?
