Now available for auction at no reserve is this 2004 Porsche 996 Carrera Cabriolet 6-speed presented in Arctic Silver Metallic over a black full leather interior. Highlighting an original build sheet totaling over $86k, this 2004 example features exclusive options including 18” Turbo II wheels and the Bose High-End Sound Package. Accompanied by a clean DME and Carfax report, this 996 is now being offered for auction at no reserve showing approximately 78k miles on the odometer.
The Arctic Silver Metallic finish is noted to be in very good original condition with some minor road-going wear (detailed images and paint meter readings are provided in the photo gallery). Factory features include a power operated cabriolet top in black and 18” Turbo II wheels which have been professionally refinished and come wrapped in Hankook tires up front and Pirelli tires in the back.
This 996 showcases a premium black full leather interior which is stated to be in great shape. Optional equipment includes the Power Seat Package, Porsche Windstop and Bose High-End Sound Package. The seller confirms all gauges, electrical components and accessories to be fully functional.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 3.6 L flat-six engine rated at 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a smooth 6-speed manual transmission making for a traditional driving experience. The IMS bearing has not been upgraded, although the car remains up to date on all scheduled maintenance. There are no reported upper-range over-revs and the seller will include a fresh oil service upon sale.
The sale of this 996 will include the original books and tools, a set of two keys and a clean Carfax report. Do not miss your chance to own this tastefully appointed 6-speed Carrera Cabriolet at no reserve.

Thank you @AtPorsche you have a great ride there. The cabs sometimes gets a bit ratty but absolutely not on yours. As far as the paint restoration it needs some so why not go the full boat. These professional restorations make the car look like new showroom. Just did it to a lapis blue 2002 and it took the color from wowie to wowie kazowie!

@Mercyhealth - I don't think the paint needs a full $1500 paint correction, unless buyer wants to Ceramic coat the paint. I did submit the videos you requested to PCar before the auction went live, but they didn't make it on. I'll host them and supply the link now.
Bid in the amount of $11,250
@AtPorsche could you supply a walk around video and video of a functioning soft top up/down? It might be hard to compete with the other fine examples of 996s now at auction on BAT and Pcarmarket but at the right price this car will give all the fun that the 30k plus ones will. This is the same power plant that the upper end of the 996s (base through 4CS) has. It needs a full paint restoration ~1500.00 and possibly IMS mitigation ~2-2.5k. But the IMS issue is debatable with 76k clocked and no failure noted. Other than that a great looking 996 especially with the correct full leather choice made on this one. The soft top looks in fine condition and these 996s when properly cared for can go to 200k miles no problem. As a totally satisfied 996 owner I will bid once then watch the offers go higher. Happy hunting!

@Ned - the local Porsche dealer does not do PPI's. There is a very good independent Porsche facility close by. They can do a inspection for you.
Contact me via the "Contact Seller" tab, and we'll arrange it
Hi
Assume the IMS issue needs to addressed, is there a Porsche dealer near by to do a pre inspection? I would pay. Thx. Ned
@Ned - About $750
