This 2004 Porsche 996 Turbo Cabriolet comes finished in Black over a matching full leather interior and features 6-speed manual transmission paired with its 3.6-liter Mezger engine. It was tastefully optioned with a painted spoiler lip, painted front air intakes, aluminum interior trim, and Custom Tailoring (special wishes that require further communication). The car has also been upgraded with a ByDesign Stage 2 performance package, a Cobb Accessport tuner, and Ohlins coilovers. This Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California while showing approximately 19k miles on the odometer.

Finished in Black with a matching soft top, this 996’s Turb-specific bodywork showcases wide fenders, side air intakes, flared rockers, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. Optional equipment includes a painted front spoiler lip and painted front air intakes. It rides on factory 18” Turbo wheels with optional colored Porsche center caps and General G Max tires. A factory hard top and stand are said to accompany the sale, and a removable aftermarket Speedster-style rear hump has been fitted. The seller notes minor paint imperfections on the hood and the hydraulic rams for the spoiler are currently inoperable. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin presents Black full leather upholstery featuring electrically adjustable hard-back Sport Seats with Porsche crested headrests. Other optional equipment includes a thicker steering wheel, aluminum inlays for the shifter and brake handle, and stainless-steel door sills with model insignias. The seller states the fuel gauge reads inaccurately when the tank is full.

The twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six Mezger engine produces 415 HP and 415 lb.-ft of torque stock, driving all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. The seller adds that a ByDesign Stage 2 upgrade was installed including Kline exhaust headers & upgraded intercoolers. Additionally, a Cobb Accessport with a 1-bar custom tune has been equipped along with Ohlins R&T coilovers and Elephant Racing caster camber plates. The seller adds that all original parts will accompany the sale.

This sale will include a clean title along with original exhaust and suspension components.

The seller would like you to know: “Thank you all for visiting my auction. This is truly one special car.  It pains me to sell, but with two small kids, 5 restaurants, and no spare time - it gets no time.  I believe all the small modifications on this make it one of the best all-around modern classic sports cars.  always garaged and loved - this turbo is in excellent condition and ready to put lots of smiles on its next owner's face.”

Hello and good morning everyone! I am stepping into my first meeting of the day right now which will be one hour long. After that I will be here and able to answer any and all questions in the final moments of this action.

  • luigipetrone (seller) 1 year, 4 monthsago

@GT3forme since the tune was very mild no work has been done to the clutch or pressure plate.

  • GT3forme (registered bidder) 1 year, 4 monthsago

Has any work been done to the clutch, pressure plate? Is this stock? Do you have an over-rev report?

  • GWhuffalo (registered bidder) 1 year, 4 monthsago

Lots to like in this one, someone’s going to love this. I’ve been looking for one of these for a bit. My color preferences would be 1)Carrera White over Metripol top and interior a Unicorn perhaps but I found one in Canada though maybe I just be to go ahead and import it 🤷‍♂️🤣 2)Agate gray and black top and interior. Triple Black is popular RN. GLWA.

@mechanik27 let me try and figure out how to request that. Also there are dates on the carfax that include service details. Those are in the photo set of this add.

  • mechanik27 (registered bidder) 1 year, 4 monthsago

    Appreciate the prompt responses.
Would they be able to upload those documents prior to auction end?

  • luigipetrone (seller) 1 year, 4 monthsago

@mechanik27 I can look at the tire stamp when I get home tonight. I am currently out of town.

I have all the receipts and invoices for upgrades and services since my ownership. Not
Sure why they were not included in the photos because the photographer did photograph them when he was shooting the car.

  • mechanik27 (registered bidder) 1 year, 4 monthsago

    How old are the tires?

Wonderful low mileage example, when was it in the dealership last/do you have the service history?

    Receipts for upgrades?

    Once again thanks in advance!

  • luigipetrone (seller) 1 year, 4 monthsago

And by Drama I mean hydraulics- sorry I’m on my iPhone.

  • luigipetrone (seller) 1 year, 4 monthsago

@mechanik27 The drama need to be diagnosed. Could be a fuse which is an easy fix or the hydraulics need to be serviced. I never wanted to spend time on it because I dislike the way it looks up.

I know there is a reset process that can be executed for the file gauge that I will try and complete when I return.

  • mechanik27 (registered bidder) 1 year, 4 monthsago

Seller; have you priced repairs for the fuel gauge and/or the hydraulic rams?
    Thanks

  • GWhuffalo (registered bidder) 1 year, 4 monthsago

Sent a message via contact seller option and placed a Bid. I always have an 805 in my bids somewhere 🤣. @luigipetrone hopefully we can work some details out to pickup the car, additional parts etc. Id also really prefer getting a DME done 🤞if I’m lucky enough to have a shot at buying your car. @GWhuffalo unfortunately i will be up in Sonoma until the end of this auction for my daughters birthday. If you'd like, you can always call S CAR GO - they have worked on the car since its been in my possession and they can vouch for how well kept and in good standing this car is in.

  • GWhuffalo (registered bidder) 1 year, 4 monthsago

You have some nice roads to drive it on ! I live in the 805 and have friends in Pt Reyes. I just saw this sorry for late response. Any chance of getting a DME ? There’s much valuable info and of course the Rev report great info for manual PCars .

  • luigipetrone (seller) 1 year, 4 monthsago

@Userapatel the speedster hump unclips into two pieces that have storage bags that can easily fit in back seat. factory hard top can obviously be mounted on har for shipping. stand may have to be shipped separately but not a big deal.

  • Userapatel (registered bidder) 1 year, 4 monthsago

Any idea how shipping would work with the speedster hump, hardtop and stand? Would the hump and taken apart stand fit Easley into the car or would it have to be shipping separately?

  • luigipetrone (seller) 1 year, 4 monthsago

I also wanted to mention this car has seen no track time. only drives to work and spirited drives home on the back roads. The factory hard top option make this an awesome all year round car.

  • luigipetrone (seller) 1 year, 4 monthsago

@luis.seneriz i can try and take a look at the block tonight and see if i can locate a stamp.

  • luis.seneriz (registered bidder) 1 year, 4 monthsago

@luigipetrone. Can you tells us where the engine was made. Reason I ask is because after 2003 they were made all over the place. I own a 2003 turbo triple black coupe my block is stamped made in Germany and it has a 964 part number. Thanks I love it that it’s modified. I bought my car here last April.

thank you for all the kind words - also wanted everyone to know that the speedster hump is fully removable and takes about 3 minutes to put on or take off. it connects strait into the factory windscreen holes.

let me know if there are any other questions!
