Pairing a 6-speed manual transmission with its twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine, this 2004 Porsche 996 Turbo Cabriolet is finished in Polar Silver Metallic over Metropol Blue full leather upholstery. It features optional heated supple leather seats, Porsche-crested headrests, aluminum shifter and brake handle trim, xenon headlamps, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and 18” Turbo wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. Previously listed on PCARMARKET and purchased by the seller in 2023, this 996 is now being offered for auction out of New York with approximately 46k miles showing on the odometer.

The 996 Turbo features wider bodywork than a contemporary Carrera, model-specific bumpers, side skirts, side air intakes, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. This example is finished in Polar Silver Metallic with a power-operated Metropol Blue convertible top. Equipment includes xenon headlamps, fog lights, a front chin spoiler, clear side marker lenses, heated power mirrors, dual exhaust outlets, red brake calipers, and 18” 911 Turbo wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. The seller describes the exterior as being in very good overall condition, apart from some minor paint chips on the front bumper. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is trimmed with Metropol Blue full leather upholstery and color-coordinated carpets. Accessories include a black leather three-spoke steering wheel, heated and power-adjustable front seats, supple leather seating surfaces, a central locking system, automatic climate control, cruise control, an onboard computer, a Bose sound system, and a Porsche Communication Management (PCM) navigation system.

Up to 415 HP and 415 lb-ft of torque is sent to all four wheels from a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine and a 6-speed manual transaxle. Stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brake calipers with 13” cross-drilled discs at each corner. The seller notes a brake fluid flush was performed in 2022 and under their ownership, the battery was replaced in 2024, and oil services have been kept up to date.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire inflator, a battery trickle charger, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “Thanks for your interest in this beautiful 2004 Turbo. This car has been garage-kept since I purchased it in 2023. An oil change was conducted prior to the sale, and all components are in perfect working order.”

@BHMKV bummer you won’t be bidding, but thanks for clarification. I assumed that was road chips. I just added a bunch of pics to try and be as transparent as possible on what is seen. It looks like original radio was re-installed prior to my ownership. Thanks for your help on this sale.

@Autotrend yes, please see video on listing.

@Ronjoso If you look in the middle on the pass side door you will see where the paintless dent repairs were done. Some tiny tap out marks and light chipping. I had quoted fixing everything and also had offered to purchase at same time you probably bought the car. Had some AM Sat radio that looks to be removed. Overall it was a very nice car. I would buy it, but would need to sell a car or leave it outside. Too nice to leave this car outside year round. I would say 99% of people would drive the car as is. Was just giving people a heads up. The car drove very tight. GLWS!

Does the rear wing go up and down automatically as porsche manufactured it?

  • Ronjoso (seller) 19 hours, 53 minutesago

@Glickster #41 shows visible small dent on front bumper. I would be happy to show the car at anytime if you're interested.

@BHMKV Thank you for your input, kool to hear you've driven the car. I would agree small dent on front bumper. Regarding the pass door it must've been a very small dent, I haven't really noticed it but will try to get a better shot of the door uploaded for any concerns. The driver door has a tiny roll on the top corner which I will also post shortly.

@vonmec @cerb1958 @Npbears Thanks for the Positive Comments! She really is an enjoyable machine.

I guess you really need to see the car in person, since what BHMKV has described is indiscernible from the gallery pix (e.g., work on pass side door, front bumper crease, etc.) From the photos, car looks great. Maybe seller can comment.

I drove this car a couple years back. Overall it was pretty clean. Some dents on doors. Pass side door was PDR repair, but could still see it. Top rear edge of the drivers door was rolled down a little. Minor crease on front bumper. Not a show car, but overall very nice car with low miles.

@cerb1958 I have an 04 with X50 and it was 162k. I just turn down an offer from a collector for 89k

I have owned a silver 2002 996 for the last 12 years, they are the most awesome vehicles. Mine is a coupe. Good luck with the auction. I’m sure there’s a way to look up how much it was purchased for in 2023, but I don’t know how to do that. If someone can share what the purchase price was in 2023 that would be great.

One of the few Porsches that (i think) looks better as a cab vs coupe. Gorgeous example! I am hunting for something else right now but this is tempting. GLWA
