Developed as a homologation car for the FIA racing series, the Porsche 996 GT3 is highly coveted for its track-oriented lightweight design, visceral driving experience, and naturally aspirated Mezger flat-six engine. Introduced to the United States in the 2004 model year, it was enhanced with larger front brakes, updated styling, and a more powerful engine. This example is finished in Carrera White over a Black leather interior and features the Xenon Headlamp Package, 18” 911 GT3 wheels, full climate control, and aftermarket enhancements such as coilovers with H&R springs, adjustable front and rear sways bars, and a Fabspeed exhaust system. Showing approximately 25k miles on the odometer, this GT3 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
This example is finished in Carrera White and features the optional Xenon Headlamp Package. It rides on 18” 911 GT3 wheels wrapped in a new set of Sumitomo tires. The seller notes the front bumper was replaced and refinished, and hood latches were added. The right rear quarter panel was repainted following an incident at a track. Additionally, the body received full paint correction and ceramic coating in preparation for the sale. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report, which indicates an accident in April 2007.
The interior boasts black leather with optional Speed Yellow seatbelts and a matching strip at 12 o'clock on the steering wheel. It also features aluminum trim inlays on the shifter and brake handle as well as air conditioning with full climate control. Additionally, a roll cage and driver seatbelt harnesses have been fitted. All gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order with no warning lights illuminated.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine featuring lighter pistons, longer titanium connecting rods, and an upgraded VarioCam system compared to the 996.1 model, which delivers a factory-rated 380 HP and 284 lb.-ft of torque to rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Performance enhancements include a Fabspeed exhaust system, coilovers with H&R springs, and adjustable sway bars to the front and rear. Additionally, new front rotors and brake pads were replaced.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a toolkit, an air pump, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This particular GT3 is updated with coilovers on the four corners, H&R springs, adjustable sway bars in the front and rear, and a Fabspeedexhaust system. A new set of Sumitomo tires, front rotors, and front brake pads, were recently installed. Also, a full paint correction and ceramic coating were done in preparation for the sale. Please note the title is clean but an accident was reported in 2007. We know per the family comments that it was a track accident, but we have no details about it.”

@pjzabo Hello, just to let you know, our Porsche independent shop couldn't take the car on time to have a DME report to post here. We did our best but it was not enough, unfortunately.
We still believe the car's condition speaks volumes and hope you can bid on it.
Happy bidding!

@MiamiGarageClassics thanks for the additional info and the carfax fills in some early maintenance history but still some pretty good gaps. Look forward to seeing the DME report. So the accident was 15 years ago which given the current appearance indicates the repair was decent I take it. Do we even know what area of the car was involved?
@pjzabo Hello, we are in the process of getting a DME report as soon as possible, it will be posted here as soon as we get it.
Unfortunately, we don't have any details or pictures about the accident at the track, the family of the previous owner mentioned it but no further details or pictures were available.
About records available, there are only a couple of records available:
2024 - new tires, front brakes, paint correction, and ceramic coating
2022 - fuel pump, fuel sender, battery, and exhaust system installation (no details)
2019 - front brakes and alignment
2012 - oil service, clutch switch, trunk switch, headlight switch and oil service
A Carfax report is available here at the auction to check ownership history.
Bid in the amount of $26,000
A DME report to show how this engine lived its life so far would be great. There is mention of a track accident it would be good to know how often it was run very hard. Are there photos of the damage to the bumper and quarter panel that were since repaired? Body shop invoices? What documents come with the car and what is the ownership history. Thank you.
@Sbani123 Hello, please check that videos are already uploaded
@MiamiGarageClassics I did not that I missed that in my prior comment but pcarmarket removed my comment for some reason, win for transparency.
The option sticker does not list the options that are listed in the add but it does, thankfully, seem to represent the options present in the pictures, aside from the missing PCCB brakes.
This car is also missing the lip spoiler that goes on the bottom of both the GT3 and GT3RS bumper. Just a heads up to the future owner.
@guitarnyc Hello, please note a picture of the options sticker under the hood is available in picture number 94.
About the front bumper, we got the car like it is now and have no information about what kind of bumper was used. It does not look like a cheap or modified part for sure.
@Sbani123 Good morning, videos were already sent to the Pcarmarket team, they should be posted anytime soon.
Seller,
Discussing reserve is going to guarantee a lower sale price. Please speak with your rep regarding this. @guitarnyc don’t let a seller mislead you about price. You are hurting yourself and eliminating your chances of owning this car by speculating on reserve. Many people throw up a comment after it sells saying “oh wow I would’ve paid more”. Bid what you feel the car is worth, let the system do its job.
Bid in the amount of $25,000
@guitarnyc Photo 93 has the options listed.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this car is missing a lot of what's posted in the add.
Yellow calipers are correct for a PCCB car of this era but those are steel rotors. You don't want to know what it will cost to buy PCCB rotors to make this car correct. Those are not aluminum face gauges or door sills and the carbon fiber shifter and e brake are absent as well.
Is the bumper a OEM 3RS bumper, a knock off or a regular GT3 bumper with the RS slits cut out?
Do you have a picture of the sticker on the underside of the hood? Or anything showing what options this came with when new? That would answer a lot of questions on what's missing here.
Positive note though, if this doesn't have a reserve, could be a cheap way into a usually very solid and reliable Mezger GT car.
996GT3 is narrow-body, contrary to statement in listing. Beautiful car. Mine also has about 25k miles and is strong as ever.
Will you post a driving video and DME report?
