Sporting wide bodywork along with bumpers, brakes, and wheels borrowed from the 911 Turbo, the 4S represents the ultimate Carrera of the 996 generation. This 2004 Cabriolet version came factory finished in Seal Grey Metallic over Graphite Grey full leather upholstery and optioned with exclusive stainless-steel tailpipes, an aluminum shifter/handbrake lever, heated front seats, and the Xenon Headlamp Package. Recently serviced with a new clutch, IMS bearing, and rear main seal, this 4S Cabriolet is now being offered by its seller out of Massachusetts showing approximately 45k miles on the odometer.
This 996 comes finished in Seal Grey Metallic and is distinguished as a Carrera 4S by the model-specific reflector band located between the taillights. Factory equipment includes optional bi-xenon headlamps, a Graphite Grey cabriolet top, exclusive stainless steel exhaust pipes, and 18” 911 Turbo wheels with “4S” logo center caps. The wheels are currently dressed in a set of Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The seller describes the car to have been preserved in excellent overall condition, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, Graphite Grey full leather upholstery is complemented by exclusive aluminum inlays for the shifter and handbrake lever. Other factory features include optional self-dimming mirrors with integrated rain sensor, heated and power-operated front seats, driver seat memory, automatic climate control, “Carrera 4S” logo door sills, and a Porsche CDR23 radio. Minimal signs of wear are depicted throughout the cabin and the seller confirms all accessories and electronics are working properly. Recent service is said to have included replacement of the cabriolet top pistons.
This Carrera 4S is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.6L flat-six engine rated at 315 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque. All four wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transmission while stopping power is provided by red-painted 4-piston aluminum monobloc brakes derived from the 911 Turbo. Compared to an entry-level Carrera, the 4S also features a lowered and more firmly tuned suspension, Porsche Stability Management (PSM), and Automatic Braking Differential (ABD) as standard equipment. The seller states maintenance has been kept up to date with a full service recently completed including a new clutch, IMS bearing, and rear main seal.
This sale will include a clean title.

@pinnacleimportsboston Ah, thank you for that information @BrabusBoston -- it's important to know. I look forward to stopping by your facility in MA once you are open!
@Altongray We are actually still under construction at our new facility in MA, hopefully 60 more days to open. All our cars are in South Florida at our facility there. The listing needs to be corrected as to the location. I have emailed PCM to make the change, as I cannot on my end. I hope this is not too much of an inconvenience for everyone. Thank you for your interest and understanding.
@pinnacleimportsboston @BrabusBoston -- I am local (Needham), wondering where in Westwood you are located. Somewhere on Rt. 1?
@Altongray thank you much!!
@Altongray thanks I agree. The 997 in the video is quite lovely.
Was just trying to be helpful to the community.
@Mercyhealth -- Greetings (I've seen you on lots of 996, and maybe even a few 997.2, listings on another popular auction site over the last few years). I pointed out to Pcarmarket what I thought was a HP discrepancy/error on a 996.1 MY2000 listing here somewhat recently (written up as 296 hp but I believe MY2000 only to be 300), but not sure if they addressed that.
@Altongray correct. Hello Pcarmarket wake up. We know you’re listening.
@PCM -- looks like the video from your current "NO RESERVE 15K-MILE 2010 PORSCHE 997.2 TURBO CABRIOLET" auction was accidentally posted to this 996 C4S cab listing.
