Finished in Seal Grey Metallic over a Black full leather interior, this 2004 Porsche 996 Carrera 4S Cabriolet features a 6-speed manual transmission sending power to all four wheels from a 3.6-liter flat-six engine. It was generously configured at an original sticker price of over $102k including the Advanced Technic Package, Xenon Headlamp Package, Bose High-End Sound Package, aluminum instrument dials, aluminum trim for the shifter and handbrake, a Porsche-crested storage compartment lid, heated seats, Porsche Communication Management (PCM), and Custom Tailoring. It also features aftermarket front and rear spoilers, lowering springs, a carbon fiber strut brace, red seatbelts, an aluminum-trimmed steering wheel, and a painted center console. This Carrera 4S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Massachusetts with approximately 14k miles showing on the odometer.
Compared to an entry-level 996 Carrera, the 4S version features wider fenders, Turbo-style bumpers, red brake calipers, and a model-specific reflector band spanning between the taillights. This example is finished in Seal Grey Metallic with a black cabriolet roof, optional xenon headlamps, and factory 18” Turbo wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps and new Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires. Its appearance has been modified with aftermarket front and rear spoilers, side skirts, and H&R lowering springs for a more aggressive stance. Clear paint protection film has been applied to the front bumper, hood, fenders, windshield frame, mirrors, rocker panels, and door edges. The seller notes one small touched-up imperfection on the driver’s door and some common signs of wear on the convertible top. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, this 996 features Black full leather upholstery accented by optional aluminum instrument dials and aluminum trim for the shifter and handbrake lever. Other options include a storage compartment lid with an embossed Porsche crest, black floor mats with Porsche lettering, Porsche Communication Management (PCM), and the Advanced Technic Package which includes heated power seats, auto-dimming mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, and a Bose sound system. Red seatbelts are equipped, the center console and inner door sills are painted to match the exterior, and aluminum trim covers the steering wheel and PCM surround. The seller notes some signs of wear are present on the seats, air vents, dashboard, and driver’s door sill.
A naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine sends up to 315 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Sharing its braking system with the 911 Turbo, the Carrera 4S derives stopping power from fixed 4-piston calipers and 330mm cross-drilled discs at each corner. A protective cover has been installed under the hood along with a carbon fiber strut tower brace. Some maintenance history is provided on the CARFAX report and the seller recently performed an oil service and wheel alignment along with the installation of new tires.
This sale will include a a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, North American PCM CDs, and a clean title.

@Autotrend We do not have the other set, they were aftermarket and we felt they didn't suit the car very well.
@Actonautoboutique Thank you for the clarification. As the CarFax shows it was at auction twice in the last 12 months (but not which), hence the question. GLWS.
do you have the other wheels s well?

I’ve bought from this dealer before. Very nice people, know their stuff and work with the utmost integrity. They only deal in quality high line cars. I’ll certainly buy from them again. Bid with confidence. GLWTA.
@981X2 You are correct it is not 40th Jahre. The car has a few retrofit's by the previous owner from other models. We left the aesthetics the way they were when we bought it with the exception of mounting original 996 Wheels with new tires.
@letsrenn The title is a clean title and we have copies of all reassignment's since 2005. They line up with the Carfax and none of them are from Co-part. The site you found on google is some random site with half the info blurred out. We saw that too. You guys are more then welcome to call co-part and ask if they have any record of the car being there. Per the title it was not. We purchased it from Manheim.
Thank you, I would like that answered also......
we certainly need an answer to that last question, that is for sure.
Bid in the amount of $10,500
Running an internet search on the vin comes back with some results that link this car to a copart auction. Is that correct? Do you have any records confirming or contrary?
Bid in the amount of $10,000
@harveyriff - Unfortunately we do not have a record of the IMS being replaced.
- The front and rear wings can be removed but you would need factory replacement parts.
- Tires have less than 100 miles on them, we put them on a few months ago.
- The aftermarket thing next to the screen is a Parrot bluetooth module.
- It will pass CA smog
Why is there a "40 Jahre" emblem on the center console? This isn't a 40 Jahre car.
Has the IMS been replaced.
• Can the front and rear wings be
removed.
• Looks like the tires might need
replacing.
• What is the aftermarket piece to the left
of the monitor. It looks like it’s hard
wired in.
• do you know if this 4S will pass
California’s smog tests.
Great question
Thanks to everyone for checking out the auction. If anyone has any questions we are happy to help. The car is also available for viewing in our showroom if anyone is local and wants to check it out before auction end.
Why are there no bids?
