Up for auction is this spectacular 2004 Porsche 996 Carrera 4S Cabriolet finished in Polar Silver Metallic over a Metropol Blue interior. Possibly a one-of-one example, this 996 highlights extensive factory options, a 6-speed manual transmission, extremely low mileage, and recent IMS bearing replacement. Now being offered out of Phoenix, AZ with only 4k miles on the odometer, this collector-grade Cabriolet is ready for a new home.
The seller states that the Polar Silver Metallic paint is all-original and as the photos show, stands in excellent condition. From the factory, this 996 was custom ordered with a handful of desirable exterior features including: exterior color-matched front air intakes, stainless steel exhaust pipes, Xenon headlights, a Metropol Blue convertible top, and upgraded 18” GT3 wheels that come wrapped in Michelin Pilot tires.
Inside, you will find a Metropol Blue full leather interior that is stated to be in like-new condition. All electronics are stated to be in excellent working order including the convertible top. With an MSRP of over $105k, this C4S was ordered with a handful of interior options such as:
The 996 model featured the most significant design divergence from the classic 911 series as well as a significant mechanical update to its all new water-cooled power-plant. This example is outfitted with its original M96 3.6 L flat-six engine that delivers approximately 320 hp and 273 lb ft of torque. Power is brought to all-four wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission and with the optional sport exhaust system, shifting through gears is even more of a pleasure. The seller states that this Carrera is in excellent running condition with a recent oil and filter change performed at Porsche of Jackson, MS. Additionally, the IMS bearing has been recently updated giving the next owner complete peace of mind.
The car will be delivered with clean CarFax, clear title, books, tools, and 2 sets of keys.

@superfly Yes
Will the sale include hard copies of all paperwork / maintenance / inspection records?
Bid in the amount of $26,000
@superfly correct, nothing needs to be addressed except tires if you intend to use the car.
@superfly the inspection report will be posted soon. I just sent it to PCARMarket.
Bid in the amount of $25,750
@SWVintage Thank you. When the IMS was done, was there an overall vehicle inspection report that you can share? With only 4,000 miles I would assume the car has no issues that need to be addressed, but it is a 15 year old car, so you never know. If there was an inspection performed it would be very helpful.
@superfly yes, 50 miles ago and just last month. Correct, the buttons present as new. No damage at all. Same for the rest of the materials and surfaces that you are asking about.
@SWVintage Thank you. The paperwork does not show a date, but it looks from the mileage indicated 4,127 like it was just done 50 miles ago? The interior buttons (radio, etc..) appear as they do not have any of the typical 996 peeling or stickiness. Is that the case? Are any of the rubberized surfaces (center console / door sills / dash) showing any sign of that peeling or stickiness?
@JakePM I didn't either until I saw this car. Changes the look completely, IMO.
@superfly paperwork is posted. Tires are original and should be replaced if the car will see any use.
Bid in the amount of $25,500
Can you please post the paperwork for the IMS replacement? Also, what are the date codes on the tires? Are they the original tires? Thank you.
@rjrol Patrick Motorsports using LN Engineering.
Who performed the IMS installation?
Bid in the amount of $25,000
Beautiful example, I did not know that they did color match intakes from the factory.
