Finished in Guards Red over a Black full leather interior, this 2004 Porsche 996 Carrera 4S Coupe is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission as well as the optional Aerokit, Sport Exhaust System, painted hardback Sport Seats, a painted center console and instrument panel, seatbelts in Guards Red, Porsche-crested headrests, Bose High-End Sound Package, Xenon Headlamp Package, and Custom Tailoring (special wishes that require further communication). Before the seller’s purchase, this 996 had been under the care of a passionate collector who has since passed away. The car now resides in a climate-controlled warehouse and has been recently serviced with a new battery, coolant, oil, and tires. This Carrera 4S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Georgia with under 50k miles showing on the odometer.
Compared to a standard 996 Carrera, the 4S version features wider fenders, Turbo-style bumpers, flared rocker panels, and a unique reflector band spanning between the taillights. This example is finished in Guards Red and includes the optional Aerokit which adds a painted front spoiler and rear wing. Other details include red brake calipers, dual stainless-steel exhaust outlets, an electric sunroof, bi-xenon headlamps, and chrome 18” Sport Techno wheels. The car rides on a set of new General G Max tires. The seller describes the exterior to be in excellent overall condition, devoid of significant imperfections apart from some touched-up paint chips on the driver’s rear quarter panel and passenger front fender, a blemish on the driver’s side mirror housing, and a worn clear coat on the lower front spoiler. The CARFAX report shows a front-end accident in 2009, although the seller reports the airbags did not deploy and there are no signs of any structural or frame damage.
Inside, the driver is greeted by a Black full leather interior featuring optional Sport Seats with Guards Red painted backrests as well as a painted center console and instrument surround. Other options include Porsche crest-embossed headrests, a storage compartment lid with an embossed Carrera logo, stainless-steel door entry guards, aluminum instrument dials, Guards Red seatbelts, and carbon fiber and aluminum trim for the shifter and brake handle. The car is also equipped with the optional Bose High-End Sound Package, a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, an Alcantara headliner, automatic climate control, cruise control, a central locking system, a CD storage compartment, and an aftermarket Pioneer Bluetooth head unit. All accessories and electronics are said to be fully functional.
A naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. The car has been fitted with an upgraded K&N air intake and came equipped with the optional Sport Exhaust System from the factory. The seller indicates a service was recently performed including an oil and filter change, a coolant flush, and installation of a new battery. The seller is unable to confirm if the IMS bearing has been replaced or upgraded.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.

@Stuttgart_911 Can't tell at all. Paint matches 10 out of 10. To be honest, it seems like it came with the car. The bolts holding the deck lid don't like they have ever been turned. There is no extra wiring harness lying around for the active spoiler. The paint seems all original and matches perfectly. Added more pictures of the trunk lid, and underneath.
@speedandmischief Ok, thank you

@speedandmischief - Awesome, thanks for additional info and providing paint gauge readings. Does it appear that the whole rear decklid was replaced and repainted when the aerokit goodies were added?
@Stuttgart_911 The paint meter readings are consistent throughout the car. It may have only received refinishing on the front bumper. We do not know when the Aero kit was added as it was done under the previous ownership. The Chrome finish on the rims is factory , and it does seem OEM. I have added a couple of close-up pictures.
40 more pictures have been added of the paint meter readings & inner fenders to address accident-related questions. The paint panels read consistently 3.8mil-4.8mil throughout. None of the fender bolts look like they have been turned, taken out, or messed with. The is original on all the panels, and the accident seems to have been minor. Please review the pictures.
Ownership history: This Porsche 996 holds a bit of a unique history, having belonged to a passionate collector who has since passed away. Following his passing, the vehicle found its way through the family ranks (Owner 4,5,6), eventually leading to its decision to part ways with it in August of this year. The family member who had this particular model also owns several vintage air-cooled Porsches but opted to part with the 996.

Beautiful C4S! Color matched seat backs look great in guards red. Unless I’m missing something, I don’t see the XAA aerokit designation on the build sheet. Does the seller know when the aerokit parts were added to the car if that’s the case? I’m guessing the wheels were refinished in chrome at some point as well. Seller, can you confirm which panels meter higher than others? Did not see paint meter readings in the gallery. Thanks and GLWA.
@Abuong01 the vehicle does not come with the factory airbox.

@Barbox pictures have been uploaded. Sorry, we don't have the OEM radio.

Does the original head unit come with the car?
@Txporsche the bumperettes on my ‘03 C4S are black rubber. Car is basalt black. Only seen a handful of color matched.
Beautiful car. Wondering if you have any major maintenance / service history: IMS, Clutch/Fly, suspension, oil analysis, etc.
Can you post pics of the undercarriage? And a picture of the rear wing from the front?
Also, is the stock head unit still around?
Nice car. One small thing I I did notice was that the rear bumper pads are not color matched. I thought the only black bare rubber ones installed were in 1999. My ‘03 C4 Cab has color matched covers over the pads and I thought all of them from 2000 on were covered and color matched.
This spec is just wild, and in a great way. Such an awesome example of a 996!
