Available for auction is this 2004 Porsche 996 Carrera 4S. Characterized by its unique rear reflector band, wide fenders, Turbo-derived brakes and suspension, and all-wheel-drive performance, the Carrera 4S remains one of the most desirable models of the 996 generation. This particular example is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and features a special Graphite Grey full leather interior with rare factory deviated seat inserts, carpeting, and stitching. Having received an LN Engineering IMS bearing upgrade along with H&R lowering springs and custom Avant Garde wheels, this 996 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas while showing just under 54k miles on the odometer.
The Arctic Silver Metallic finish benefits from clear protective film over the front hood and mirror covers. A small scratch is noted on the rear bumper as well as a scuff on the driver-side door beneath the mirror, additional images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The C4S shares its wide fenders and bumpers with the Turbo model and features its own unique rear reflector band which stretches between the taillights. This example was factory optioned with the Xenon Headlamp Package and currently rides on aftermarket 19” Avant Garde Ruegermesh wheels. The wheels are complemented by H&R lowering springs and have been dressed in new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires within the last 2k miles.
From the factory, the cabin was appointed with premium Graphite Grey full leather upholstery including Exclusive deviated carpeting, stitching, and seat inserts. This attractive interior also came optioned with Porsche crest embossed headrests, the Bose High-End Sound Package, a sport shifter, and the Technic package which adds heated front seats. An aftermarket Function First shift knob has also been installed along with a Bluetooth audio receiver.
The naturally aspirated 3.6L flat-six engine features VarioCam Plus variable intake timing and was factory rated at 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission providing for a 0-60 time of approximately 4.8 seconds. The 4S also shares its brakes and suspension setup with the Turbo model. Modifications include H&R lowering springs and a Top Speed air intake tube. An invoice from a previous owner shows an LN Engineering IMS bearing retrofit kit to have been installed along with new seals for the cam housing and crankshaft. Over the past year and a half of the seller’s ownership, routine oil changes are said to have been carried out as well as a wheel alignment.
This sale will include an IMS bearing upgrade invoice and a clean title. With its incredibly rare factory options and desirable Turbo-derived platform, this Carrera 4S is not to be overlooked.

@Mercyhealth raining 996’s is correct and I don’t think the rain will let up especially on the C4S the rear of these are one of the best to look at.
@Elarry seems like it’s raining 996s on multiple web auction sites. For good reason the value of the gen 5s are going up especially for the C4Ss. Even though it carries the same power plant that all other 996 Carreras have. The turbo upgraded suspension and brakes give it a more desirable appeal.
This one is a beauty no doubt!
@drbruno yea it’s water East Texas has been getting a lot of rain, I was wanting to get some photos taken so I could get my car posted and the rain stopped for about a hour and drove to the park to get some photos. I agree they are great cars they are finally getting the attention they deserve.
Is that water on the ground for the pics or a major leak???? Kidding. What a beautiful car. The wheels look great on it. I've just purchased an 02 C4S. There seems to be a lot of interest in these cars suddenly!!!! GLWS

@virtuaframax as far as I know it is still the oem clutch, the clutch still feels great
@Elarry thanks for the quick replies.
one more question: I didn't read anything regarding the clutch. has it ever been replaced (e.g. when the IMS was replaced? What is the current status? thanks
Bid in the amount of $27,750
@virtuaframax no they are not, this car was factory optioned with GT3 wheels, the previous owner kept the oem wheels. I tried to find a set that would fit the wide body but had no luck.
@Elarry Are the OEM wheels available as well?
Car will also come with, a box of OEM parts like intake tube, springs and stock shifter. Just in case you would rather have everything oem
@Shareefm21 thank you Mercyhealth
That is correct. This is grounds for account termination as well as a permanent ban from the site. We hope you take a moment to review our terms so that you understand how the site works and can play by the rules.
Bid in the amount of $23,000
@Shareefm21 obviously you are missing the whole concept of PCARMARKET. You are a little late on your request. Why don’t you just bid and maybe you will win. Also the whole community can see your post. Unless you contact the seller directly. I hope your error is just because you are a nubie.
@Shareefm21 thank you but I'm going to stick to the auction format, but if you have any questions about the car feel free to ask, and give the auction a shot. This is a really enjoyable car and who every wins it will love it
I’m very interested was wondering if you would do a deal without auction
Bid in the amount of $18,000
