This 2004 Porsche 996 Carrera 4S comes finished in Black and sports a black full leather interior with optional supple leather seats, the Bose High-End Sound Package, and exclusive aluminum trim. The car was also specified with a 6-speed manual transmission and optional Sport Exhaust System to complement its 3.6L flat-six engine. It was acquired by the current owner in 2019 and has since received a new clutch, IMS bearing, and upgraded Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) system. Now with approximately 70k miles showing on the odometer, this C4S is being offered for auction by its owner out of New York.
This 996 comes finished in Black and is distinguished as a 4S by its wide fenders, Turbo-style bumpers, and model-specific reflector band spanning between the taillights. Exclusive stainless-steel tailpipes are included with the optional Aluminum/Chrome Package (Y29) while other equipment includes xenon headlamps and a rear window wiper. The factory 18” Turbo-look wheels come fitted with a mixed set of tires and new center caps with colored Porsche crests. The seller notes a scuff mark on one of the wheels as well as a chip in the passenger side door handle. Some small rock chips were also touched up under prior ownership, additional images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is trimmed in black full leather upholstery with optional supple leather front and rear seats. Aluminum-look instrument dials and stainless-steel door entry guards are included with the Aluminum/Chrome Package and the car was also ordered with exclusive aluminum inlays for the shifter and brake handle. Other features include heated front seats with adjustable lumbar support, self-dimming mirrors with an integrated rain sensor, and the Bose High-End Sound Package. An upgraded dealer-installed Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) has been paired to an aftermarket subwoofer and factory Bose speakers. The seller makes note of some minor imperfections to the plastic finishes.
The 3.6L flat-six engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and delivers up to 315 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels. The 4S comes standard with the fixed 4-piston brakes and cross-drilled rotors of the 911 Turbo, and this example features the optional Sport Exhaust System. The seller reports the clutch was replaced along with the IMS bearing within the last 2k miles, and that a new catalytic converter was installed in November of 2021.
This sale will include the original owner's manuals, toolkit, and a clean title. Well equipped from the factory and recently serviced with an upgraded IMS bearing, this Carrera 4S may very well be the 996 you've been waiting for.

Thank you everyone for participating in the final day of this auction. Reminder that this 996 C4S is FULLY SERVICED and has the very usable (and pricey) PCCM retrofit from Porsche which offers carplay and android auto, making it feel like a modern car. You can hop right in and enjoy with no surprises. Good luck bidding!

Everyone loves the rear wide-hip pic of these (self included), but the angle of photo #147 is one of the most overlooked of the C4S in my opinion. Very well sorted 4S from what I can see. Checks all the right boxes.

Is there a sticker indicating the IMS replacement? was the RMS addressed as well? Is the cd changer connected? ty

@Ex36 default is “loud” mode.
@Ex36 I know what you mean, pressing the exhaust button @ idle doesn’t seem louder, but you get a much deeper sound if that makes sense
@Luxuryaircrafts LOL when you pressed the button it got quieter: the default is "loud mode."
@luis.seneriz tires have approx 80% left
@luis.seneriz thank you for your interest! Just posted the start video, midway through we pressed button on dash to open up baffles in factory sport exhaust.
@luis.seneriz New video content has been added to the listing page.
Any chance of a cold start video showing exhaust pipes. Can you comment in the condition of brakes and tires? I don’t mind the tires being a mixed set, I would like to know how old they are and how much thread is left. Thanks I’m bidding on an 05 Carrera S here, if I don’t get that one which ends today. I’ll be bidding on this one.
Thank you for taking a moment to check out my much loved C4S! Happy to quickly answer any questions you have. This is the one!
