Produced from 1992 to 2014, the Mercedes-Benz CL-Class was offered as a premium grand tourer based on the flagship S-Class luxury sedan. This second-generation (C215) example is a CL55 AMG equipped with a handbuilt supercharged V8 engine, finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over Alpaca Gray leather. The car was sold new in Texas and acquired by the current owner in 2015 who has overseen major services as well as the application of a Stage 2 tune by Pressertech of Atlanta, Georgia. This CL55 AMG is now being offered for auction with approximately 73k miles showing on the odometer.
This CL is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic and features an AMG styling package including a front spoiler, side skirts, rear apron, and AMG-branded exhaust tips. The car rides on factory 18” AMG 10-spoke wheels which have been professionally refinished and dressed in new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Some small imperfections are noted including scrapes on the underside of the front spoiler. The seller adds that the car has been stored in a garage beneath a cover during their ownership and was rarely ever driven in the rain. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Alpaca Gray interior is accented by burred walnut root wood trim and includes heated and ventilated multicontour AMG seats, a premium Bose sound system, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Other features include COMAND infotainment with navigation, an electric rear window blind, parking sensors, and a sliding glass sunroof. The driver’s soft-close door function is inoperable, and some failing pixels are noted on the central display screen as well as wear on the driver’s seat and a small stain on the rear carpeting.
A supercharged 5.4-liter V8 engine is paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission delivering up to 500 HP and 516 lb.-ft of torque stock to the rear wheels. This example received a Stage 2 ECU tune claimed to provide an output of 588 HP and 605 lb.-ft of torque. The car has been maintained personally by the seller and by the specialists at European Auto Werks in San Antonio, Texas. Notable services include flushing the valve blocks and replacing the accumulators for the Active Body Control (ABC) suspension, replacing the Mobil Jet Oil II for the supercharger, and installation of a new interstate battery in January 2023.
This sale will include a clean title, a matching full-size spare tire, and the original owner’s manuals.

@aaron_comstock please excuse the typos in my response to your questions. I was replying from my phone.
@aaron_comstock Thanks for your interest and questions.
The shocks and struts have not been replaced during my ownership. I am not sure if they’ve been done by previous owners as I only have service records beginning from when I purchased the car. They Jane been inspected whenever I have taken the car to be serviced by the team at European Auto Werks in San Antonio, TX. They are the only ones, other than myself that have worked on the car, a have not commented on there being any issues with the shocks and struts.
Same as stated above for the drive shaft Flex joints, and center support bearing. No issues have ever been noted. The car drives s’more and quietly.
Engine and transmission mounts have been replaced. It’s work was done by European Auto Werks using genuine Mercedes-Benz parts sourced from Mercedes-Benz of San Antonio. The scanned copies of the invoices should show an invoice for this work.
I have not replaced the coils and plugs. Again, during routine service visits, no issues have been noted. The engine runs smoothly with plenty of power, especially with the Stage 2 tune from Pressertech of Atlanta, GA. There is an invoice for the tune on the service invoice files.
Transmission has been serviced and is up to date.
All accessories operate as designed, except for the soft close on driver’s side door that has been noted in the description. It has never worked since I bought the car. I simply shut the door as I do in any other car. The doors and windows shut and seal correctly with no leaks or wind noise.
Please feel free to ask any other questions.
Thanks.
Very nice car. I have a 03 S55. I am very familiar with these cars. I have a few questions.
Have the shocks and struts been replaced? If so, when?
Have the drive shaft Flex joints, and center support bearing been replaced?
Engine and transmission mounts replaced?
When were the coils and plugs done?
Transmission service?
Does everything operate as it should?
Thanks

Good afternoon everyone,
Welcome to my auction. I am selling my CL55 AMG. It has been a beautiful car to own and drive. I fell in love with the pillarless profile and the hand built AMG supercharged V8. The car is smooth and quiet with deep reserves of power. The AMG exhaust cones alive when opening the throttle.
I hate to part with it, but I recently bought another large coupe and can’t stand to see this one not being driven and enjoyed.
Feel free to ask any questions. I’ve owned the car since 2014. I’ll do my best to answer them in a timely manner. Thanks for your interest.
