A high-performance version of Jaguar’s XJ luxury sedan, the XJR is powered by a supercharged 4.0-liter V8 engine and comes equipped with wider wheels and tires, a sport suspension setup, Brembo brakes, and unique exterior trim. This 2004 example is finished in Ebony over a Charcoal leather interior and features 20” alloy wheels, heated front and rear seats, adaptive cruise control, and rear parking sensors. It has been with its current owner since 2020 and is now being offered for auction out of California with approximately 31k miles showing on the odometer.

The XJR is distinguished from a standard XJ sedan by larger dual exhaust outlets and a body-colored radiator grille surround with a stainless-steel mesh insert. This XJR is finished in Ebony (PEC) with chrome trim, silver Brembo brake calipers, and 20″ Sepang alloy wheels. Other details include xenon headlamps, front fog lights, rear parking sensors, and polished exhaust finishers. The seller notes some chips are present on the front end along with some other imperfections throughout the exterior, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is upholstered in Charcoal leather with matching carpets and burl wood veneers on the dashboard, door panels, center console, and steering wheel. Amenities include heated and power-adjustable front seats, heated rear seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, adaptive cruise control, a multifunction steering wheel, and an AM/FM CD stereo paired with an Alpine sound system.

Up to 390 HP and 399 lb.-ft of torque comes from a supercharged 4.2-liter AJ34S V8 engine that drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed ZF automatic transmission. The XJR is equipped as standard with Brembo disc brakes as well as an R-Performance sport suspension with Computer Active Technology (CATS) dampers and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC). The seller adds that an oil change and A/C recharge were carried out in 2022, and the car has been driven approximately 500 miles since their purchase in 2020.

This sale will include two keys, owner’s manuals, some service records, and a clean title.

Hi, thank you for the clarity.

  • cogswell (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@1956speedster my intention was not to be evasive . They have been in storage for a while & they are buried in the back . They do have tires mounted on them . I cannot tell you the condition , they were shipped to me after I purchased the car . I can include them but they are as is .

  • 1956speedster (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

Hi, regarding the wheels being included in the sale. It’s either yes they are, or no they are not but I will sell them if I get extra $$$$. Your response is rather evasive.

  • cogswell (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@Walt yes it was on BAT & hoping to get better results here on Pcar . Good Luck & Happy Bidding !

Did I see this for sale on another site or here recently?

  • cogswell (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@Squires911 very very minor issues if any . All the auction companies use that verbiage . Look at the pictures closely is what I believe it’s meant to do on any car that’s of this age being it’s not new .

  • Squires911 (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

Can you please elaborate on the “ various exterior imperfections”? Thank you!

@Valor1 Totally agree , these are great looking classics !

  • Valor1 (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

The 20" wheels alone are ~$3,000 on Ebay. I have one of these already, but at anywhere near this price point and with this low miles, time for a second perhaps. I looked at a 6 series and a 2 series yesterday at local BMW dealer. BMW employee came out and said "this is so classic" and he's right. The 2 series was cool but goofy and the six series looked bloated. The Jag looks just right with curves and lines tailored eloquently

  • cogswell (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@jwriggins I’m a collector with over 100 cars . I only drive them sparingly to keep them lubricated & charged up .
