Produced between 1997 and 2004, the R1200C was BMW Motorrad’s entry into the high-end cruiser motorcycle market and is famed for its role as one of 007’s vehicles in the 1997 James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies. This final-year example is presented in Titan Silver Metallic and features a host of desirable accessories including dual ABS brakes, heated hand grips, an authentic BMW work stand, chrome trim pieces, OEM leather saddle bags, interchangeable windscreens, several spare parts, and more. This collectible BMW motorcycle is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York while showing just over 11k miles on the odometer.

The R1200C was designed by BMW’s chief designer David Robb and offers classic styling with a highly accommodating cruiser rider position. This example is finished in Titan Silver Metallic and sports factory driving lights, a leather seat and pop-up backrest, stainless-steel wire rims with Meltzer 880 tires, a chrome alternator cover and crash bars, heated hand grips, an aftermarket tachometer and clock, and OEM locking leather saddle bags on chrome mounting rails. The seller states that three interchangeable windscreens are included in varying sizes along with an additional set of mirrors. Some very minor imperfections are noted including a small scratch on top of the front fender, detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The 2004 model year included a new dual ignition system and ABS braking system as standard equipment as well as an improved transmission borrowed from the premium CL model. Up to 61 HP and 72 lb.-ft of torque comes from a 1,170cc boxer twin engine with four valves per cylinder. Power is sent to the rear wheel through a dry-clutch shaft-drive 5-speed transmission and stopping power comes from dual disc brakes with ABS. The frame also includes a single-sided swing arm with remote spring preload-adjustable monolever suspension. The seller states a full service was completed during the summer of 2022.

This sale will include a collection of spare parts and additional accessories along with a BMW work stand, the original owner’s manual, and a clean title.

Gentlemen, I may not be allowed to say this, but this is not a fire sale, this is relatively rare near perfect Silver Metallic 2004 BMW R1200c. It's had two owners, no accidents and and a number of extra parts. The flawless OEM Leather Saddle Bags and mounting rails alone would bring in a price in the mid-teens. The only negative is a small imperfection on top of the front fender. Not a dent, a paint flaw easily fixed. If you are serious about owning a beautiful head turner, time to step up to the plate.

I have Physical Therapy for my knee at 10 AM. Call Pcar to have them contact me. PT and the bike are 5 minutes apart, I should be done around 11 . They won't let me leave you a number to call, but they should work as a liason.
    Thanks,
    Island Jack

I used to have this motorcycle and I miss it. I am local to you and was wondering if it is possible to come see it.

    Jbrown,
No problem there, I have tie downs, microfibers, etc. Any idea of destination? LMK, if we can reach an agreement, I'll make sure the bike arrives in better condition than it left in.
    Thanks,
    Jack

@artichoke . No, outside of a minor defect in the paint on the top of the front fender. It can easily be fixed. Had I not had right knee replacement surgery in late January this year, I would have taken care of it, but moving a large motorcycle on one leg is not in my bag of tricks. As an aside, the knee replacement surgery is related to 60 years of ice hockey, not to motorcycles. I failed to mention a few other things in getting the bike listed, one being it has the factory took kit, a mechanical type could probably disassemble most of the bike using it. There are more odds and ends that I'm boxing up, the knee just slows me down. Any other questions, just let me know. Thanks, Jack
