Finished in Titanium Silver Metallic over Grey Nappa leather upholstery, this 2004 BMW M3 Convertible has been modified with the Dinan S Package including a high-flow cold air intake, Stage 3 performance engine software, a free-flow exhaust system, a front strut tower brace, suspension components, Signature Series floor mats, and a decklid badge. It also came factory-equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission paired with its S54 inline-six engine, optional bi-xenon headlights, heated power Sport Seats with memory, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), and a Harman/Kardon sound system. This E46 was purchased by the seller out of Michigan in October 2021 and has been driven about 2k miles since. Now showing approximately 77k miles on the odometer, this Dinan-upgraded E46 M3 is now being offered for auction out of California.
Compared to a standard E46 3-Series, the M3 features flared wheel arches, fender vents, unique bumpers, a power dome hood, side skirts, rounded mirrors, and a rear valence with quad exhaust tips. This Convertible is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic with a black soft top, bi-xenon headlights, and factory 19″ M double-spoke Style 67 forged wheels. Other equipment includes integrated fog lights, rain-sensing wipers, LED taillights, a rear antenna, and a Dinan S decklid badge. The seller indicates all four wheels were refinished under their ownership along with the installation of new rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires. A minor blemish is noted toward the bottom part of the front bumper. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features Grey Nappa leather upholstery with matching carpets and brushed aluminum trim. Accessories include M-specific gauges with a variable warmup redline, a three-spoke M sport leather steering wheel, M3-branded door sills, an M sport shift knob, heated and power-adjustable sport seats with memory, adjustable driver’s seat lumbar support, automatic climate control, cruise control, a Harman/Kardon sound system, and a BMW Business CD stereo. The Dinan S package also includes Signature Series Dinan-branded floor mats. Some wear is noted on the shift knob and the rear center console storage cover is missing.
The naturally aspirated 3.2-liter S54 inline-six engine was factory-rated at 343 HP and 262 lb.-ft of torque, featuring double-VANOS variable valve timing and individual throttle bodies. It has been modified with the Dinan S Package including a high-flow cold air intake, Stage 3 performance engine software, a free-flow exhaust system, suspension components, and a front strut tower brace. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and stopping power comes from ventilated disc brakes at each corner. The seller indicates the engine drive belt and A/C belt were replaced under their ownership along with a differential service, an oil change, and a recent BlackStone Lab oil analysis.

I recently spoke to someone who is very knowledgeable on E46 M3 Dinan cars. I was told less than 400 E46 M3 were done by Dinan. Those of you who have more information about this figure, I would welcome any input on this matter.

Has the subframe then check for any cracks as this can be a problem with M3 convertibles?
