Up for auction is this 2004 BMW E46 M3 Coupe finished in Jet Black over an Imola Red interior. Featuring an S54 inline-6 engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, this M3 is reported to have been traded in by its original owner at just 1,900 miles before it was purchased by its second owner who kept the car up until 2018 when it was acquired by the seller. It has since received upgraded Bilstein PSS10 coil-overs, genuine 19” CSL Competition wheels, and preventative maintenance including a VANOS service, valve adjustment, and a new clutch. Now with approximately 123k miles showing on the odometer, this well-maintained and nicely configured M3 is being offered for auction by its 3rd owner out of Utah accompanied by service records dating back to the original purchase.
This E46 is finished in Jet Black and the paint is said to be in excellent condition throughout. The seller reports that he had the front bumper, hood, and fenders refinished, baked, and blended into the doors to eliminate some road-going chips. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a CARFAX that reports rear-end damage in 2013. Modifications include a front grille chrome delete, amber daytime running lights, and genuine 19” CSL Competition wheels that are said to have been dressed in new tires in 2018.
Inside, this M3 features a desirable Imola Red interior with M-specific factory details, added OEM Piano Black trim, a center armrest delete, and an updated head unit. A brand-new shift knob was also recently installed along with a new steering wheel and seat cushions. The A/C is said to have been recharged in 2018 and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.
This E46 is powered by a venerable S54 3.2 L inline 6-cylinder engine with VANOS variable valve timing that sends 338 HP to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual gearbox. An upgraded Bilstein PSS10 coil-over suspension has been installed for improved handling and a more aggressive stance. The brake pads and rotors were replaced in 2018 and the VANOS system has reportedly been serviced in the last 3k miles along with a valve adjustment and the installation of a new clutch. Service records are said to be included dating back to the original purchase and this M3 is reported to be in excellent mechanical order having always been adult-owned and never subjected to track use.
This sale will include a set of 3 keys (2 masters, 1 valet), owner’s manuals, the original window sticker, complete service records, and a clean title. One of the most celebrated sports cars of all time, this well-sorted M3 makes an excellent choice for any passionate driver.

@ErikLS2 if the car is leaving the state of Utah you will not be paying sales tax. Taxes will be paid in your home state. You will only pay for the car and nothing else.
Is vehicle titled in seller's name as an individual or to the dealer (in which case I pay sales tax in my state)?
What type of head unit did you install? Also what is the item that is in the air vent?
@guitarnyc they should've been added, but I just resubmitted them. Pictures of Keys will be added later tonight as well.
