Combining naturally aspirated performance with the body styling, brakes, and all-wheel-drive system of the 911 Turbo, the Porsche 996 Carrera 4S has gained a following among enthusiasts. This 2003 example is finished in Carrara White over a Savanna Beige leather interior and was configured at an original sticker price exceeding $96k. In addition to the optional 5-speed Tiptronic S transmission, the BOSE High-End Sound Package, and more, it was appointed with Exclusive options including a thicker leather steering wheel, instrument dials in the interior color, wheel spacers, and body-colored Sport Seat backs, center console, and wheels with matching center caps. Previously sold on PCARMARKET, this C4S is being offered for auction once again as the initial buyer failed to complete the transaction.
The Carrera 4S benefits from wider fenders than a standard Carrera as well as Turbo-style bumpers and a unique reflector band spanning between the taillights. This 996 is finished in Carrara White and features red Porsche-branded brake calipers along with optional stainless steel exhaust pipes, 17mm wheel spacers, and body-colored 18” Sport Techno wheels with matching center caps. The seller notes some paint blemishes on the wheels and states that the car was tapped lightly in the rear at a stoplight, with no damage occurring, however, a report was filed anyway. The CARFAX report lists minor damage in February 2023 and detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is upholstered in Savanna Beige full leather and features optional Sport seats with painted seat backs and Porsche-crested headrests. Additional options include a painted rear center console, the BOSE High-End Sound Package, instrument dials in interior color, and a thicker leather-wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel, steering wheel shift buttons, and power seats. The seller reports all gauges, electronics, and accessories to be in working order, with no warning lights present.
Powered by a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine, the 996 C4S sends up to 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft. of torque to all four wheels by way of a 5-speed Tiptronic S transmission. The seller notes that the car was serviced annually, including a service in June of 2023 that consisted of an oil change, an ethanol fuel treatment, and an inspection of the belts, fluids, oil, wipers, windshield cracks, leaks, exhaust, steering, shocks, tubes, struts, brakes, and tires.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, a car cover, a bra, side view mirror covers, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “I bought this ultra-low mileage 2003 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S with an automatic Tiptronic transmission from Porsche South Shore in NY. Finished in Carrara White and Beige interior and white trim, it has a total of 16, 450 miles. Stored in a climate-controlled garage it is in excellent condition throughout. The interior shows no wear and appears to be virtually brand new. The exterior is perfect with only some of the wheels needing a re-paint. Certified pre-owned- Porsche South Shore changed the wipers, tires, and rubber tubing to ensure I would have no problems driving it home- It was stored in temperature-controlled storage. It has been driven occasionally and let loose on the I95!!! Impeccably maintained. An especially unique Porsche-ONLY 1 was made in the color white and with this build....way unique!!! Introduced for the 1999 model year, Porsche’s 996-generation 911 marked the first time the marque’s iconic model utilized a water-cooled engine configuration. It was risky, though altogether necessary transition for Porsche to make due to ever-increasing power gains which were being realized by their competitors, together with stricter emissions standards. The marque’s initial water-cooled production engine was developed from the Hans Metzger-designed blueprint found in its famous homologation special, the 911 GT1 released in 1997. While the silhouette of the type 996 carried on the traditional look of the 911, designer Grant Larson introduced several significant updates that included a more aggressively raked windscreen, a completely retrimmed interior, and a new headlight design. In 2002, Porsche introduced the 911 Carrera 4S, an all-wheel-drive variant that borrowed the wide-body look, as well as the brakes, front fascia, and suspension of the contemporaneous 911 Turbo. By 2003, this exceptional American market Carrera 4S had been delivered to its first owner. The model’s water-cooled engine had increased in size to 3.6 liters of displacement and was further updated with a new crankshaft, pistons, connecting rods, “VarioCam Plus” adjustable valve timing, Lokasil-treated cylinders, and Bosch Motronic ME 7.8 engine management system. Delivered new to El Paso, TX on 10 May 2003, this Carrera 4S is made evermore notable on account of its desirable and extensive specification. Its long list of factory equipment listed on an accompanying Porsche build report includes Carrara White paint over a Savanna Beige leather interior, elective removal of the sunroof, Tiptronic S transmission, 18-inch Techno Sport wheels, and stainless-steel exhaust system. Stepping across the Carrera-inscribed door sills, it is plain to see that the car’s interior is richly furnished with comfort-spec power seats featuring headrests embroidered with the Porsche crest, as well as a special-order trim package which added white painted interior-and-beige leather finishes to the gear selector, handbrake lever, and center console. Occupants are also sure to benefit from the electronic climate control, remote six-disc CD changer, and Bose sound system. Since being bought it has been sparingly used. It currently indicates just 16,500 miles at the time of cataloging and would be a tremendous, accessible offering for the Porsche enthusiast looking to experience a surefooted, naturally aspirated 996 for themselves. Annual service June 23rd, 2023. PASSED 14-Multi-Point Inspection with flying colors!!! Oil change and Ethanol Fuel Treatment. See attached pic of Service Summary. Belts, Fluids, Oil, Wipers, Windshield Cracks, Leaks, Exhaust, Steering, Shocks, Tubes, Struts, Brakes, and Tires were all checked during this Inspection. Excellent Condition. Tires, Coolant Tubes, and others, including belts all redone when I purchased and picked it up in 2016- certified per-owned you could say. Since stored in a climate-controlled space and now covered in my attached garage- hasn't succumbed to nature's elements.”

@TomSesto it has an automatic sunroof: No IMS replacement as of date: no indications: I asked for The Collection to look when they did the last service and also no indications- see last service record of 2023. I drove it from NY-Key West with no problems when I bought it in 2016 and am still driving it although not much. Color is so subjective: but the pictures do the interior justice as to the color: for me if I had to comment: richer and darker than the luxor beige....very rich like the Baseball Glove Caramel: one of the most stunning 996 interiors I have ever seen. Based on last service - no problems indicated..
Seller Buddy: Beautiful car. I only point out the hole in the roof because the PCAR summary indicates that the sunroof was a "delete." It obviously was not. So no IMS bearing replacement done to date? Thanks for that. Is the interior more of the baseball glove caramel color or Porsche's luxor beige? I cannot really tell from the photos? Any known problems or defects? Safe to drive from FLA to Los Angeles?

@rickster yes see last service report..it was checked .....IMS Bearings can go early -late and or never - I will leave it to the next owner to decide....and make that decision.
Both the walkaround video and engine video were taken within past 3 months- show how clean and her showroom new condition...She's truly a gem....lucky is the one who pulls the trigger on this one.
Any more questions please feel free to ask. Thanks !!!
@TomSesto A hole is round - I don't have a hole - well I guess we all do.....it's a shot down on the exposed pulled back sunroof.
@LeeDavidAuerbach My car was purchased in 10-08-2016
Go back and re-read it - I just renewed the tag in July.
Thanks
@LeeDavidAuerbach a tap on the rear bumper cones....no damage ..all pics and video were taken after the stoplight tap.
@bruce48127 I know right - my baby is AMAZING !!!
Apparently, this car was purchased in July, 2024. Why are you selling it?
What is the big hole in the roof?
Kindly advise as to the severity of the rear end collision.
" Its long list of factory equipment listed on an accompanying Porsche build report includes" - "elective removal of the sunroof"?

@rickster just annual services
Just annual services
I really like the body-colored Sport Techno wheels! I don't think I've ever seen that before. Cool.
Have checks been made during oil changes for potential IMS leaks? Low mileage model 996's-997's are more susceptible to IMS failures.
