Presented in Midnight Blue Metallic over a Graphite Grey full leather interior, this 2003 Porsche 996 Turbo Coupe is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission paired with a twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine. It was generously configured at an original sticker price of over $131k including the optional Turbo Aerokit, Sport Seats with painted backrests, embossed headrests, the Aluminum/Chrome Package, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM). Purchased by the seller about two years ago, this 996 Turbo is now being offered for auction once again on PCARMARKET out of New Jersey with approximately 64k miles showing on the odometer.

This 996 is finished in Midnight Blue Metallic with the optional Turbo Aerokit including an extended body-colored front spoiler and a larger bi-plane rear wing. It also features quad stainless-steel exhaust pipes as part of the optional Aluminum/Chrome Package. Other equipment includes bi-xenon headlamps, fog lights, side skirts, integrated air intakes, a speed-activated rear spoiler, a rear window wiper, red brake calipers, and 18” 911 Turbo wheels with model logo center caps. The seller indicates paint correction was performed under their ownership along with restoration of the front spoiler and a full application of ceramic coating. The car's front quarter is preserved by clear paint protection film and some minor imperfections are noted on the front bumper cover. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The Graphite Grey full leather interior includes a matching Alcantara headliner and optional power Sport Seats with painted backrest shells and Porsche crested headrests. The optional Aluminum/Chrome Package also adds aluminum-look instrument dials and stainless-steel door entry guards with model logos. Other accessories include a three-spoke leather steering wheel, Porsche-branded floor mats, automatic climate control, cruise control, an electric sunroof, a Bose sound system, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM). The cabin is described to be in excellent condition with all accessories and electronics remaining fully functional.

Rated at 415 HP and 415 lb.-ft of torque, the twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine in the 996 Turbo was derived from the Le Mans-winning 911 GT1 race car. It sends power to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, providing acceleration from 0-60 MPH in approximately 4 seconds. Stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes with 330mm cross-drilled discs at each corner. The seller reports that routine maintenance has been kept up to date and the fluids and filters were replaced. Additionally, a recent service was performed and a new battery was installed.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “This car is ready to go with zero issues for the next caretaker. A true investment to come with fewer of these cars becoming available with the factory options that this one has. A pretty rare color combination as well. During my ownership, I've done everything to the car that would make it ready for the next owner, including a two-stage paint correction and ceramic coating. The car is not getting the use it deserves, and unfortunately, it's time for someone else to enjoy it.”

@Paddle911 All of the areas that were refinished were sanded first and then resprayed.
If painted with a brush you would not get the smooth finish that you see here.
The detailer has every OEM color you can imagine in a can.
The interior was meticulously taped and covered after sanding and the magic took place.
It's not anymore durable as it could revert back given how rough the individuals are that get in and out of the car.
The ignition is the first area to get scratched up if your not careful how you put the key in.
Finger nails are the worse on the door handles and panels. That plastic Porsche used is what it is.
In time it will look like it did when I got it unless the next owner is as OCD as I am.

Can you please tell us more about the process to correct the finish on the plastic pieces? Were they sanded down and totally repainted? Just touched up? Or...? Additionally, did the detailer tell you if this finish will be more durable and less scratch-prone?

This car presents well. I have seen this on the PCA classifieds for quite a while. It is great to see it listed on PCarMarket and it will be interesting to see how it gets valued here. GLWA.

    Thanks.

Look at my Targa listing on this site. I have some photos of when I fixed my blend door foam problem. Two doors, one accessible from the front trunk and one behind the dash. Good luck with your auction. Nice looking car.

FYI I own a 2010 turbo with 21k miles. I bought it three years ago with 16k miles. Mine has been shooting foam through the vents ever since.

@luis.seneriz no worries. Sounds like you got a tiger by the tale.
I'm both a stock and mods guys with many PTS cars but my interest over the years has turned to 996 and 997 GT3's.
Really prefer the smaller footprint on those gens compared to the 991's I had and stepped away from.
I feel any car with a Mezger is money in the bank as long as it's been cared for properly.
The 997 gen is the last true Porsche, after that is when VW took over and the production numbers went through the roof.
    Thanks for your comments.

@Tangerine. I wasn’t saying you were not being truthful, with age the foam problem will show up. I’m also a PCA member, our region here is Lone Star region and it’s extremely active. Believe me the problem will also show up sooner or latter on the 997s. You got a beautiful car and it should do well, I spent 18 months looking for mine, I bought it from the second owner who had it for 14 years. I bought the car , no accidents, the maintenance, the long term ownership, and a huge bonus a bunch of performance upgrades that would cost a ton of money to do, such as k24/18s turbos, blue is my favorite color but this car was the right one for me. I’m not a purist as I modify all my cars. Shades of blues and definitely speed yellow get higher average prices on the 996s. I prefer to put that extra cost in performance mods. It’s extremely satisfying smoking a brand new GT3RS that costs upwards of $350k on a $70k modified turbo while banging your own gears. Ounce again yours is a nice car and should do well.

    @luis.seneriz not a problem.
Now let's go through your remarks about the foam as I'm sure you're not implying that I'm not being truthful about not having a foam issue with my car.
First off, it to say it will happen on all 996's is a gross overstatement.
I myself and other lucky owners have dodged that bullet.
Secondly, I have never ever heard of it happening on any 997 and I'm sitting on three right now with five others I had in the past and none of them had that issue.
I'm a long term PCA member with 30+ years in the PCA community and this is the first time I'm hearing that.
Yes, it is an easy fix but not a fix that's needed on this 996TT.
As for the stamp on the engine case in pix #117 and 118 they tell you all you need to know.
2003 was the last year for being made in Germany.
After that it was Spain, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
This Mezger engine is the same power plant that won Le Mans several times and it's bullet proof.

@Tangerine997. Thanks for confirming what I saw. Now being truthful the foam from the ac vents is due to the insulation that porsche use in the ac/heat blend doors. The foam problem will happen on all 996s and 997s. It’s fixable if you go thru the middle of the dash where the radio ac controller is. There are many videos on YouTube that show how to fix this. A friend fixed that for me on my turbo and my early 99. Anyway if someone has done this a few times it takes less than an hour. If you see the engine case photo you’ll see that it has a 964 part number and it was made in Germany. 🇩🇪. 2004 and 2005 turbos the engine cases have a 996 part number and the vast majority of them were not made in Germany.

I'm thinking I should answer a few questions ahead of time as I'm sure they will come up during the auction.
    1. The car has never been tracked during my ownership and had zero signs of being tracked when I looked at it.
    2. The coolant lines have not pinned/welded, not sure why anyone would do that if they didn't plan on track use.
It's a pricey proposition as you have to remove the engine.
    3. No foam blowing out of the air vents, ever. I believe that was an issue with the 01 and 02 MY.
    4. No pop out gears at all with the 03 MY as they received the upgraded transmission. That was a concern in 01 and 02 MY.
Again, feel free to ask any questions you may have, thanks.

Good morning everyone and thank you for the kind words and opening bids.
@luis.seneriz yes you are correct, it does have a Bose system and the badge was missing from the drivers door when I received it. Seats are not heated and do not have memory. Car is 100% bone stock. No paint work.
I agree about the color combo which was also a factor when I was looking. If you have an 03 you got the right year my friend.
@Kevinmr yes it was on PCA Mart for a bit but I deleted it.

Beautiful car. A few Questions, seems that car has Bose stereo, is the Bose decal missing from the driver side door? Seats are not heated? Driver side doesn’t have memory? Does the car has any modifications? This is the color combo I wanted, 3 years ago I bought an 03 triple black. I may be interested. Thanks and GLWTA

Nice example. I think I saw it on PCA classifieds (or its twin if that wasn't it).

Hello everyone and welcome to the auction for this well kept 996TT.
I'll be available all week to answer any and all questions and you can also hit the contact seller button for a DM.
A few things to note, pictures 183 and 184 show a new battery that was installed during the most recent service this month but was not listed on the invoice and the mileage is from today so it's actual.
The car has been kept in a climate controlled garage since I purchased it and with a cover.
It's never seen any bad weather during my time and I refuse to take out any of my cars during the winter which in my part of the world has lots of salt and brine on the roads for months. Not good.
Aside from the detail work I had done that's stated in the description, one thing that's not listed is the work I had done to the interior.
As many fans of the 996 gen know, it's prone to scratches, cuts, and abrasions due to the material used by Porsche.
I ask that you take a good look at the center console, dash, key hold, door panels, and the bases on both front seats where the electric buttons are.
I had those areas refinished by a mobile detailer in my town. I waited two months to get him as he's in high demand because most of his work is with all the high end dealers that need touch ups done prior to selling a car.
All of the leather on the seats was in great shape when I got the car so nothing was needed there.
He's all cash so I don't have a receipt that I can post.
It's rare to see a 996 with an interior this clean as most sellers won't go that far, at least not the ones I see on line.
From what I know, this spec is very rare with only about 45 aero kits being made in 2003 and to have the added sport seats with matching color hardbacks puts it in the category of not "seeing yourself coming and going".
Thanks again for looking and enjoy the auction.
