Introduced as the most high-performance road-going GT2 version of the 911, this 2003 Porsche 911 GT2 nicknamed the "Widowmaker" is said to be one of the rarest production Porsche's made in history. Only 303 produced for the U.S Market, and only 1 of 119 produced in the 2003 production year, this GT2 comes finished in Basalt Black Metallic. Upgraded from the standard Turbo, the GT2 features a factory modified twin-turbocharged Mezger engine that sends power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), and a revised body. This example had an MSRP of over $191k and sports carbon fiber trim throughout the interior, along with contemporary modifications such as the Porsche Classic Communication Management System. With a history of maintenance and fresh from a recent service, this GT2 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Virginia showing approximately 19k miles on the odometer.
This GT2 is finished in Basalt Black Metallic and rides on factory 18” Turbo Look II wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The seller notes there is PPF on the front of the hood, bumper, and fenders. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The interior is finished with black full leather and features white deviated stitching on the sport seats, door panels, and dashboard. Other factory appointments include carbon fiber door sills with “GT2” logos, a carbon fiber center console, carbon/aluminum trim for the shifter, carbon fiber center bezel, and carbon fiber handbrake lever. Additionally, a 3-spoke steering wheel with carbon fiber trim is optioned along with upgraded factory Speed Yellow seat belts, upgraded Porsche Classic Communication Management System, and a Passport SRX radar system. The original radio is included in the sale. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly. A complete list of factory options is provided below:

It reaches 60 MPH from a standstill in approximately 4 seconds. Standard performance features include a lowered sport-tuned suspension, adjustable anti-roll bars, and ventilated Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) with 6-piston calipers in front and 4-piston calipers in the rear. CARFAX shows a history of service since new. Prior to the sale, this 996 will have undergone full fluid service, state inspection, PPI, and DME report at GT Peace Automotive in Chantilly, VA. No gt2 I want to go fast for the less money spent. Same reason I didn’t bought an X50 car. Anyway, found out from Jake Raby flat Six innovations (FSI) the most boost these engines can take safely is 1.1 bar after that you will bend the rods. He has rebuilt over 100 of these engines always same culprit.
Congratulations to both the buyer and the seller. Undoubtedly, the seller will miss this beautiful beast in the garage. However, this rare automobile will bring many smiles to the buyer. The torch has been passed, but everybody wins. Well done PCAR.
@222morris I was betting on you winning this one, when started the bid at $100K. Congratulations.
Thanks for letting me have it. ?

Awesome to watch these guys willing to pay this much for this car. I bought an 03 turbo here last April. With 60k miles as of today my car will outperform this gt2 at a fraction of the cost and I am not afraid to drive it. Today I actually smoked a 2022 camaro ZL1, yes my car has K24s ad this, headers, exhaust, biggest intercoolers. No it doesn’t have a wild tune, normal constant max boost is 0.8 bar, sometimes 0.9. With something like this would be hesitant yo put a mile on it. As of today I have $61k on the Car.
