The Porsche 996 Carrera 4S combines naturally aspirated power with body styling, brakes, and an all-wheel-drive system from the 911 Turbo. Finished in Midnight Blue Metallic over Graphite Grey full leather, this 2003 example boasts a 6-speed manual transmission, 18” Sport Techno wheels, the Bose High-End Sound Package, heated front seats, and more. Benefitting from an IMS bearing replacement in June 2021, this one-owner C4S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas with less than 35k miles showing on the odometer.
The Carrera 4S features broader fenders compared to the base Carrera, Turbo-style bumpers, a distinctive reflector band connecting its taillights, and red brake calipers. Finished in Midnight Blue Metallic, this example rides on optional 18” Sport Techno wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires with 6/22 date codes. The seller highlights that this vehicle has been regularly cleaned and waxed, while signs of road wear include rock chips on the front bumper and hood, two door dents on the left side, minor paint chips, and slight wheel scratches. The car has been driven on track once at a PCA HPDE event at Harris Hill, San Marcos, TX in 2012, and has also participated in approximately 5 autocross events. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a damage-free CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is situated within Graphite Grey full leather upholstery. The Bose High-End Sound Package was opted for, and standard features include power windows, an electric sunroof, power-adjustable & heated mirrors, cruise control, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The seller states that the leather remains in excellent condition, with some scuffs observed on the hard surfaces and a minor chip on the plastic face of the cup holder. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are confirmed to be in proper working order. The CARFAX report noted a potential odometer inconsistency, which is said to have been a clerical error, where the digits 1 and 4 in 14,143 were mistakenly reversed to appear as 11,443.
Powered by a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine generating 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque, this Carrera 4S distributes power to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The IMS bearing, rear main seal, oil/air separator, clutch, and oil & filter are said to have been replaced by GT International in Austin, Texas, in June 2020. Additionally, the owner replaced the driver and passenger side window regulators in January 2022. Most maintenance tasks, including annual oil changes and periodic brake fluid changes, were reportedly performed by the owner, with no outstanding service items noted.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Carfax currently indicates a "Potential Odometer Rollback" due to a technician's error during an annual emissions inspection, where the digits 1 and 4 in 14,143 were mistakenly reversed to appear as 11,443. The shop has acknowledged the error, and an appeal with Carfax is in progress. The car has been on track only once at a PCA HPDE at Harris Hill, San Marcos, TX in 2012, and has participated in approximately 5 autocross events. A pre-purchase inspection (PPI) was recently conducted by GTI, with the report available upon request. The car's original owner purchased it in New Orleans in 2003. It has always been garage-kept, including during Hurricane Katrina, where it remained safe at a location 13 feet above sea level, 20 miles east of the hurricane's landfall. The car was relocated to Austin, TX in 2005. Most maintenance has been performed by the owner, including annual oil changes and periodic brake fluid changes. The IMS Bearing was replaced in 2021, along with related components and the clutch.”

AC is working perfectly. As with similar models from this generation, for a while, black gunk would come out of the vents, but less so now. Every once in a while, some does come out. Does not seem to impact the ability to cool the car even on very hot Texas days. As to DME, I will upload an image of the readout. Nothing needed to be worked on for daily driver.
Is the AC operating as expected? I noticed that wasn't included in the inspection report. Did they run a DME?
Anything needing to have worked on for the car to be daily driven?
The wheels shown in the pictures are original. Only have the one set.
Do you have the original wheels?
love the wheels hard to find

I uploaded 4 photos. I can't see any indication of seepage, but I don't doubt that there is some.

I just used a combination of some mild detergent and a lot of elbow grease. Yes, I will be happy to take a picture or two of the front left boot. I will upload shortly.
Can you please post a photo and/or elaborate on the driver side axle seep noted in the inspection? Are we talking the inner or outer boot?
Was the bottom dry ice cleaned? It’s so clean!

I am the owner of this beautiful 911 and have taken care of it as a cherished possession. If it were not for my relatively recent fascination with autocross where the limitations of this car became apparent, I would probably have held onto this vehicle until I was no longer able to drive. Instead, I am preparing to welcome a brand new 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 to take the place of this 996. I look forward to your bids, would be delighted to answer any and all questions, take additional photos upon request or conduct a zoom session with anyone that would like to would like to see the car live.
