Delivered to its original owner at the factory in Germany through Porsche’s Tourist Delivery Program, this 2003 Porsche 996 Carrera Coupe is finished in Seal Grey Metallic over a Graphite Grey interior and features a 6-speed manual transmission paired with its 3.6-liter engine. Recently fortified with an IMS bearing replacement, this Carrera is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida while showing approximately 32k miles on the odometer.
This Coupe is finished in Seal Grey Metallic and rides on 17” Carrera alloy wheels. Other equipment includes polished dual exhaust tips, a speed-activated rear spoiler, an electric sliding sunroof, integrated front fog lights, and brake calipers with white Porsche lettering. The car is currently equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport tires and a clean CARAFX report is provided in the gallery along with detailed images of the exterior.
The Graphite Grey interior offers electrically adjustable seats, power windows and mirrors, a central locking system, automatic climate control, cruise control, a locking glove box, and a sound system paired with the original Porsche CDR23 radio.
A naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine provides up to 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. The seller reports an upgraded European Parts Solution IMS bearing kit was installed in February 2023 and the CARFAX report shows 14 previous service records.
This sale will include a clean title and the original window sticker.

Yes this car was inspected prior to us buying it
Unfortunately I don’t have those pics; but as I’m sure you are aware this car is a Florida car and has been in warm weather for pretty much its entire life. Therefore it has a very low risk of having developed bore scoring during its lifetime
@blakcar so the bores were inspected for that? Are there photos?
We’ll provide our internal work order for the labor in the docs supplied with the sale
It’s quite odd That the options sticker doesn’t match up to the car. I’m guessing that it has something to do with the European delivery. This car has zero indication of bore scoring
Seller, why does the options sticker seem to be different from what the car is actually equipped with? Is this one of the cars affected by bore scoring?
Please provide the labor invoice with the Vin # of the car the bearing was installed in. First you said we have a Porsche master tech that works by our facility and then you said the Besting was installed in our shop.
Please clarify your responses. Thanks, Rlan
@billgrt
I don’t understand your comment
The Bearing was installed in our shop.
Already done and ready for the new owner
Feel free to contact us directly if you have any other questions on this
@blakcar so how does the buyer get a record and assurance that it went into this car? As specialists I am a little off put that this isn't done in advance. Maybe get this cleaned up so you can actually sell the car?
@billgrt
We have a Porsche master tech that works by our facility that installed this IMS
@blakcar that's great but where is the VIN on this car located on the invoice? where is the labor showing it was done?
IMS receipt has been added to the gallery
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
@blakcar
Still no posted documentation of claimed IMS change.
Should have been posted in original photos at start of auction for this site to include that claim in the description. Very suspect that wasn't posted originally.
Then I asked twice --first time was ignored, second time seller said he would "try" to post a photo Monday. I'm surprised anyone is bidding when this is going on...
Hey Everyone
Just wanted to check in as we close in on the last 6 hours of this Auction
Looking forward to finding a new home for this excellent 996
We’ll be monitoring the comments section, so if there are any questions whatsoever please feel free to ask away!
Good luck and happy bidding

We replaced the IMS and have the receipt. We’ll try and upload on Monday
Concerning the condition of the tires well also verify the date codes. It’s going to a bit different to get a good pic of the brakes therefore I would suggest getting a PPI or coming and seeing the car.
In regards to the wheel bolts, it’s really just surface rust and are still 100% functional. New bolts can be ordered by us for the new owner if they choose
@blakcar My questions were not answered about documentation of claimed IMS replacement in Feb and tire & brake condition.
You response was "Please come and check it out or schedule a PPI" ???
If there is no documentation posted for IMS then it wasn't replaced and PCARMARKET needs to revise the listing to remove this claim.
Tire date codes appear to be 2004 & 2009 so they need replacement anyway but it would be very easy to snap two quick photos of front & rear brake pads and post them...
Please explain photo #23 relative to photo #’s
24,25,26,27 which shows the 4 wheels that are on the car with many rusty lug nuts. Thanks, Rlan
Guys this engine is strong
Please come and check it out or schedule a PPI
*when reading these comments keep in mind people like to sabotage these listings in the hope the bids fall flat.
Either way good luck
@Zradub Almost sounded like a chain or pulley. Thanks in advance.
What was the ticking at the back of the car?
@blakcar
Please post photos of the records for the IMS/RMS replacement in February.
How many keys included (full keys, not valet).
What is the thickness of the brake pads (photos would be great)?
When were the tires installed and at what mileage if known?
@rlanning
Basically; it’s a car built with all the things you need and none of things you don’t…
It’s an old school throw back with being a rear wheel, manual transmission car.
Please explain “ great purist build” and what that all entails. Thanks, Rlan
Hi All
