Available for auction is this 2003 Mercedes-Benz W163 ML500 finished in Black over a Black leather interior. Launched for the 1998 model year, the ML-class was the first German Luxury SUV to hit the market and featured body-on-frame construction, full-time four-wheel drive, advanced traction and stability systems, and a range of V6 and V8 engines to choose from. This 2003 example is said to have had one owner from new and features a 5.0L V8 engine, the “Inspiration” edition package, a power sunroof, automatic climate control, heated and power-adjustable sport seats, Bose audio, and more. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California while showing just over 72k miles on its odometer.
For the 2002 model year, the ML-Class received a styling update that included bumpers, new headlights and taillights, and new wheel options. 2002 also saw the replacement of the ML430 with the new ML500 model. This example comes finished in Black (040) and features a front brush guard and side steps. The seller states that the finish remains nicely preserved overall and notes that the rear bumper was recently refinished to address minor scratches. Additional images can be found in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. Details include a chrome grille, xenon headlights, roof rails, fog lights, and six-spoke 17″ wheels as part of the “Inspiration” package. The wheels come dressed in a set of Dunlop SP Sport 5000 tires from 2016.
Inside, heated and power-adjustable front sport seats are upholstered in Black leather (261A) with silver cross-stitching, along with the rear bench and door panels. Black carpets line the floors while dark poplar wood trim accents the center console and doors. Amenities include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an electric sunroof, automatic climate control, a navigation system, rain-sensing wipers, power rear-quarter windows, and a nine-speaker Bose audio system with a six-disc CD changer.
Power comes from an M113 5.0L V8 engine which produced up to 288 HP and 325 lb-ft of torque when new. All four wheels are driven by way of a Mercedes 4Matic all-wheel drive system, a 5G-Tronic 5-speed automatic transmission, open front, center, and rear differentials, and a two-speed Borg Warner 4409 transfer case. The ML-Class was the first luxury SUV to feature electronic stability control, as well as Mercedes’ 4-ETS system which uses the braking system to simulate locking differentials. The CARFAX report includes 18 service history records dating back as far as 2002, and recent maintenance is said to include an oil and filter service, new wiper blades, and a new air filter.
This sale will include owner’s literature and a clean title.

Hi
Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional info, the car is in even better condition in person than it is in photos, we had a few people who saw the car on the auction come in and check it out and the feel back was great.
As you can see it was a dealer maintained car with perfect service history, the condition of the paint is perfect, interior is in absolute perfect shape backseat was hardly ever used, no odor. No smell other than the distinct smell since the car was new, the engine is bone dry with no leaks. We change the oil anyway just to give the new owner a fresh start and changed the wiper blades, front and back. Also gave the car a nice polish . Both carpet and rubber floor mats are included as well.

@Toys1955 Owners had homes in both places but mainly CA, I am a dealer, as you can see in my profile, I did buy this one, paid tax and registered it as a personal car till my new truck arrived, took about 4 months for the truck to show up and I needed an in-between car, this ML is not only in an amazing shape but a car I’ve always loved and that’s why I chose it as my personal car.
So car started in Cherry Hill, NJ then California, then back to Cherry Hill then California again?
Any idea why? Did you purchase to sell? Thanks
