When the 360 Modena was introduced in 2000 at the Geneva Auto Show, it was a massive leap forward in styling, technology, and reliability for Ferrari, replacing the F355 as their flagship mid-engine roadster. It featured a lighter, stronger aluminum space-frame chassis produced by Alcoa, flowing smooth body lines, a user-friendly power convertible top, electronically controlled dampers, and a 3.6L flat-plane crank V8 that produced nearly 400 HP. This 2003 example was originally sold by Ferrari of Long Island at an MSRP of over $182K, finished in Argento Metallic over a Bordeaux leather interior, equipped with a rare 6-speed gated manual transmission, power-adjustable seats, a front Challenge-style grille, Scuderia fender shields, red brake calipers, upholstered roll bars, a leather rear parcel shelf, and a hi-fi audio system with a subwoofer. In addition, an aftermarket Tubi exhaust system has been fitted. Having spent time in Florida where it was maintained by specialty shops, this 360 Spider is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida with 28k miles on the odometer.
This 360 comes finished in Argento Metallic (101) with a power-operated black soft top. The seller describes the paint to be in great condition, noting some small rock chips, and reporting the installation of paint protection film to the front bumper and hood. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The windows have been tinted and the windshield is covered by clear UV-blocking tint. Thanks to the use of lightweight aluminum body panels over an aluminum frame, the Spider version only weighs 130 lbs. more than the standard 360 Modena. Exterior equipment includes optional Scuderia fender shields, bi-xenon headlights, a Challenge-style front grille, red brake calipers, a polycarbonate engine cover, and twin aero fairings that conceal the convertible top behind the cabin. The original 18” 5-spoke wheels wear yellow Ferrari center caps and are mounted with Pirelli tires showing date codes from 2019.
The cabin features power-adjustable seats trimmed in Bordeaux leather that extends to the dashboard, steering wheel, door panels, rear shelf, and rolls bars, with matching Bordeaux carpeting and silver trim. Accents include aluminum door sills, drilled aluminum pedals, a drilled passenger footrest, and a gated 6-speed aluminum shifter. The driver is provided full power accessories, a Ferrari-branded Clarion infotainment system, automatic climate control, and an optional high-power hi-fi audio system with a subwoofer mounted between the seats. The seller reports the sticky button issue to have been addressed by previous ownership.
The 360 Modena is powered by a 3.6L quad-cam V8 which sends as much as 396 HP to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. This naturally aspirated powerplant features a flat-plane crankshaft, titanium connecting rods, and dry-sump lubrication. A Tubi exhaust system has been installed, the seller reports an oil and filter change in January of 2022 and recommends the 30K timing belt service to be performed in the near future.
This sale will include 2 sets of keys, owner’s manuals, and a car cover.

@AbeClassics good to know for next owner, this came from an import garage that said they'd have to take it out, closest ferrari dealer and 1.5 hrs from me
@Hreichert $8000 for timing belt is to high. The 360 does not require the engine to be removed to do the timing belt service. The access panel is right behind your seat.

@jcbfff I have not had that done, and the paint job is original factory, there is only a clear protective film covering the front bumper and part of the hood and front fenders. It looks like it's in great shape, just a few small little nicks that are hard to see unless very close up.
Are paint meter readings available? Or is the car full PPF?
Thanks

@Afine The timing belt needs to be replaced at this point, I believe my mechanic quoted in $8K range.

Pretty car and color combo. Love the gated shifter. Let’s get the party started……
@seller Do you know the cost of 30k service ?
@NoSadDict I had them look into an issue with the top, and we ended up relacing all of the hydraulics that operate it, then there was some hydraulic fluid they had to clean out because it steamed up my engine bay and made the catalytic converter sensor fail due to the start up. These issues have been resolved as of now though. I have receipts I can show the various jobs. Nothing ongoing at the moment.
Great looking car! Why are there so many services with short intervals late 2021/early 2022? Was there a chronic problem not able to be fixed?
@ddonzella no I haven't, but the clutch feels great though. I've driven the car a few thousand miles, and it handles high rev shifts no problem.
Thank you. One other question, has a wear status been done on the clutch?
@ddonzella also the carpet itself is in great shape.
@jbauto thanks, I was hoping to find a spyder with a stick, they are not easy to find.
@ddonzella Hey, I'm Fred seller, there is some minor leather wear on the sides of the top of both seats, but there is no wear on the leather dash, and no bubbling any where, even by the front nipple on top of the dash, the first place you usually see any bubbling/stretching from heat. It was likely garaged all its life.
Nice spec! Are there any interior wear areas or leather pulling away from dash pad Worn carpet? Any oil leaks? Thank you.
Nice Spec. Low miles. Droptop. Nice. GL
