Alpina’s rendition of the BMW Z8 sports car, the Alpina Roadster V8 was introduced in 2003 as a more refined grand touring car featuring a softer suspension, finer leather upholstery, and a 5-speed BMW Steptronic automatic transmission paired with an Alpina-tuned M62 V8 engine. This 2003 example is one of 555 produced in total and 450 sold in the United States. It comes finished in Titanium Silver Metallic over a Black Nappa leather interior and features heated and power-adjustable sport seats, 20” Ronal wheels, xenon headlights, and a Harman/Kardon sound system. Remaining under the care of its original owner, this Alpina Roadster is now being offered for auction out of California with just over 24k miles on the odometer.
The aluminum-bodied BMW Z8 was designed by Henrik Fisker and draws inspiration from BMW’s classic 507 roadster of the 1950s. Equipment includes front fender vents with BMW roundels, neon taillights and turn indicators, xenon headlights, polished dual exhaust outlets, leather-wrapped roll hoops, a folding convertible roof, and a removable body-colored hardtop. The Alpina Roadster can be distinguished from a standard BMW Z8 by its rear Alpina badging and staggered-width 20” Ronal wheels with Alpina crest center caps. This example is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic with a black convertible top and is described to be in excellent overall condition. The seller notes the original Michelin tires are installed and there is no spare tire included. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Black Nappa leather upholstery complemented by a body-colored dashboard and center console. It features blue-faced Alpina instrument dials, a gear selector display, and an Alpina-specific three-spoke steering wheel with Switch-Tronic shift buttons. Other accessories include heated and power-adjustable sports seats, air conditioning, cruise control, a 6-disc CD changer, navigation, a concealed stereo, and a Harman/Kardon sound system. A plaque is also mounted between the seats which designates this Z8 as #308 of 555 Alpina Roadsters produced. The seller notes the hardtop's headliner is sagging.
The Alpina Roadster is equipped with an Alpina-tuned 4.8-liter M62 V8 engine shared with the contemporary Alpina B10 V8 S model. It features double-VANOS variable valve timing, hollow camshafts, a double-row timing chain, individual throttle bodies, and an output of up to 375 HP and 396 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. The Alpina Roadster uses a softer suspension than the standard BMW Z8 and includes Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), All-Season Traction Control (ASC), and four-wheel disc brakes with Dynamic Brake Control (DBC). The seller states there are no outstanding service items at this time.
This sale will include the original window sticker, owner's manuals, a toolkit, a hardtop storage stand, and a clean title.

@rnak Hello, thank you for your interest. Yes, it appears the contact cement is failing with both the headliner and rear shelf. We were not able to find a qualified shop to make the repair. We felt the new owner would most likely have a shop they preferred. The rear-view mirror is fine. The headlights are clear. The soft top inside is in excellent condition, the outside has a few scrapes. No paint or body work, the grill was replaced due to a piece of debris on the highway flying up. As to the options installed, I will upload the Monroney window sticker.
Hello Seller, looks like the common items such as the sagging headliner, loose parcel shelf material, rearview mirror oil, and bottom of the front bumper area being scraped are present. How is the soft top inside and out? How are the headlights in person? Any foggyness?
Has there ever been any paintwork, spot repairs, or any other damage repaired since new?
Also noticed there is no performance package installed.
