The seller would like you to know: “Thanks for checking out my 2003 BMW 540iT M wagon. Although there isn't much on repair records, I can say that it has been well cared for over the years. Always garage-kept. When I received the car I went through it to make it as nice as possible for the next owner. It is ready to go and drives amazing. It's ready for many more years of enjoyment and adventure on some curvy roads. Hey, you can even fit the family. I sure have. Just a great car. Good luck bidding!”

whoops....hitting refresh helps! Now I see them! Thank you
@vwprok37 - I don't think I can see the jack points in any of the pics. Maybe it was too late to add them?
All in all, this is a really good buy for a 540iT. Great color. Invest in some cosmetics - this is a sweet ride. Kinda bummed I missed it....being only an hour drive away! :-) Congrats to both buyer and seller!

I just added pictures of the Jack points
@kimbatiger Good Question. I do believe the owner before me parked it due it needed timming chains and didn't have the funds to have it done as it is a very expensive job. Rest assure its all been done now and the car needs nother and will give the new owner many trouble free miles.
@BigBooter Hi, Yes there was some surface rust on the inside bottom of the dirvers door. It was just superficial and it was all taken car of better then factory. It was ground down to bare metal, acid etched, epoxied, seam sealed, epoxied again and painted facotry color. better then new and done right. Jack points are rock solid. I dont know if I can get a picture then before the end of the auction but I will try. Might be a few hours before the end so check back. Thanks for the question.
Hi. Just wondering if there's any explanation for only 3,000-ish miles since 2012? There may not be, but its curious.
I saw this car in person last December and it was NOT in this condition. The current owner has done a lot of work to refurbish this car and it shows. I do have a question though. If I recall correctly, one of the front doors had some relatively significant rust/corrosion on the inside. Has that been addressed? Also - any close ups of the jack points?

How does the air conditioning work?
@lamacan Transmission on this car is perfect and shifts flawlessly. It has been completely serviced including trans fluid flush, filter and fresh correct BMW fluid. As for problems with these transmissions I have not heard of any with the 2003's. I know earlier 540's had some software issues but was all sorted by 2003. Remember this is a completely different trans from a reg 540i. Different gear ratio and torque converter.
any major work done on the transmission other than changing oil? i have owned a few of these and every single one of them needed the transmission replaced at or near 100,000 miles.

@Steveduva They will issue a 10 day plate I believe. You will have to go to a DMV to get one. There is one right in Epping NH.
Do you know if New Hampshire will issue a temporary regs so i could drive it back to f l a ?with proof of insurance!

I have checked out this car in person and it presents very well. It's a clean driver with all the big maintenance topics covered. If you are in the market for a V8 Euro wagon, this is the one to watch.
@Tkotchek They were an option but I checked the build sheet on this car and it did not come with them. Kinda makes it even more rare! Thanks for the great question.
Were the comfort seats a factory option on this car? Typically they came with Sport seats...
