Available for auction is this 2003 Audi TT Coupe 1.8T finished in Lake Silver Metallic over an Ocean Blue leather interior. Based on the Volkswagen Group A platform shared with the Golf Mk4, the first-generation Audi TT was very well received upon launch with its distinctive styling, sporty cockpit, and nimble handling characteristics. Equipped with optional 17” cast alloy wheels, a 6-speed Tiptronic transmission, and a turbocharged engine, this 2003 example was purchased by the seller from its original owner about eight years ago with approximately 26k miles on the odometer. The car is said to have been garage kept under current ownership and was treated to a new timing belt and water pump in 2020 as preventative maintenance. Now with just under 34k miles showing on the odometer, this first-generation Audi TT is being offered for auction by its seller out of North Carolina.
This Audi comes finished in Lake Silver Metallic and features a custom red and dark blue accent pinstriping added per the original owner’s request when the car was new. Designed at the Volkswagen Group Design Center in California, the TT is recognizable for its smooth rounded forms, sloped rear hatch, protruding fender flares, and rear spoiler. Beginning in 2002, the Audi TT received a series of mid-cycle updates including a redesigned front grille and lower ride height. The seller notes that there are no signs of discoloration or fading throughout the exterior, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The optional 17” cast alloy wheels come dressed in Hankook Ventus tires.
The cabin is trimmed in Ocean Blue leather and features electronic climate control, power windows, an Audi Concert AM/FM radio with a CD player, cruise control, 3-spoke leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, and two small folding rear seats. As part of the mid-cycle update, the TT also received an alloy shift knob, Bosch aero wipers, and an oval-shaped rear-view mirror. The seller reports all accessories and instrumentation to be fully functional.
Power comes from a 20-valve 1.8L DOHC turbocharged and intercooled 4-cylinder engine with electronic boost regulation and an output of up to 180 HP when new. The front wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed Tiptronic transmission that allows for both automatic and manual gear changes. The CARFAX report highlights a maintenance history dating back as far as 2003 and the seller notes that the timing belt and water pump were changed preemptively within the last year along with new spark plugs and an oil service.
This sale will include a clean title, a set of two keys, owners manuals, the radio manual, the original 2003 Audi dealer literature, and the original window sticker. With its unique styling and sporty chassis, the first-generation Audi TT is rapidly gaining favor among driving enthusiasts. Don't miss your chance to get behind the wheel of this low-mileage 2003 example.

@tdskip That was my original inclination also but my wife liked it so we left it alone. I honestly don’t know but will try to find out from a local painter.
Oh geez, need more coffee, was asking about the PAINT. Sorry.
Can the pinstripping be removed without damaging the pain?
Hi, this was my wife’s car and she doted on it. Never driven in rain, always garaged. Never eaten in etc. please feel free to ask questions as I should be available and will answer as promptly as I can.
