Finished in Seal Grey Metallic over a Metropol Blue interior, this 2002 Porsche 986 Boxster S pairs a 6-speed manual transmission with its 3.2-liter flat-six engine. It came factory optioned with the Sport Package as well as silver painted roll bars and center console. The car has also been upgraded with Bilstein dampers, Brembo brake rotors, a custom stainless-steel exhaust, B&M short shifter, Litronic headlamps, a custom sound system, and 19” Carrera wheels. Having received an engine rebuild and upgraded IMS bearing within the last 23k miles, this Boxster S is now being offered for auction with just over 72k miles showing on the odometer.
This 986 is finished in Seal Grey Metallic with a Metropol Blue convertible top and optional silver-painted roll hoops. Red-painted brake calipers come standard on the Boxster S along with dual exhaust outlets and a silver model designation. This example has been fitted with a set of upgraded 19” Carrera wheels from a Porsche 997, upgraded Litronic headlights, and an upgraded Robbins convertible top including a heated glass rear window. The Metropol Blue interior is highlighted by an exclusive silver-painted center console and includes cruise control, a Hi-Fi sound system, a remote alarm, and a wind-stop as part of the optional Sport Package. Rated at 250 HP and 225 lb.-ft of torque, the mid-mounted 3.2-liter flat-six engine is said to have been professionally rebuilt at 50k miles including an upgraded IMS bearing. Power is sent to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. The seller notes a custom stainless steel exhaust system has been installed in addition to new Bilstein shocks and struts, Brembo rotors, new brake pads, and sensors.
