Up for auction is this 2002 Porsche 996 Turbo Coupe finished in Seal Grey Metallic over a Graphite Grey full leather interior. The 996 Turbo remains one of the most desirable water-cooled 911’s to date due to its 415 horsepower Mezger engine, advanced all-wheel drive system, and iconic widebody styling. This 2002 example features a 6-speed manual transmission and is now being offered out of Texas in excellent condition with 55k miles showing on the odometer.
Finished in factory Seal Grey Metallic, this Turbo is stated to be in excellent condition. Please view the detailed images in the photo gallery. As a Turbo variant, this 996 features an iconic widebody along with a retractable rear wing and effective front and rear air vents in the bumpers. This example rides on factory 18” Turbo Twist wheels that come wrapped in a set of Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
Inside, this Turbo’s cabin is factory finished with Graphite Grey full leather. This interior remains in excellent condition which is clear when viewing the gallery photos. The seller notes that an aluminum pedal set has been installed along with an upgraded Alpine head unit. Commanding an original sticker price of over $123k, this Turbo is equipped with options such as heated front seats, lumbar support, remote CD changer, aluminum instrument dials, 3-spoke leather steering wheel, and footwell lighting. All electronics are stated to be in excellent working order.
Originally implemented in the iconic 911 GT1 Le Mans cars, the Mezger engine has become known to many enthusiasts as the greatest water-cooled engine ever created by Porsche. Additionally, the Mezger engine doesn’t suffer from IMS bearing related issues as its oil system ensures constant lubrication. This 996's twin-turbocharged engine sends approximately 415 HP to all four wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. This Turbo received a significant service last December which included the replacement of items such as: brake rotors, pads, sensors, retaining clips, pins, oil and oil filter. This Turbo is said to be in excellent running condition.
The sale will include one key, books, replacement rear rotors, floor mats, car cover, and an unopened Seal Grey paint kit.

Hello all,
I wanted address some items identified in the PPI.
1. Engine oil condition: Unless the engine oil is changed at time of PPI, it's their practice to list it as "unknown" based on where it's at. The oil is not due to be changed until 60K.
2. Window regulators: They are working properly, as evidenced in my google drive video. However, they have never been changed and it's shop's assessment that they will eventually require replacement sometime down the road.
3. Right RAM leaking: It's another common weak point on the 996 Turbo. The spoiler is working without issue at this time. I was advised to monitor and if necessary do a hydraulic fluid flush (?). Recommendation is to keep an eye on it and make sure the arms are free of foreign debris. Again, they don't recommend replacement at this time.
4. Exterior scratches: Very detailed. I've also included pictures of every single area identified in the google drive share. Let me know if you want more closed up. Thanks.

Am I missing something? With 6 hours to go this 996 turbo seems to have low interest. I hope that the bidding improves. These turbos are great cars and worth so much more than the current bid.
@jescotland Hi,
I also submitted yesterday videos of 1. from stop light to speed (0 ~ 35 mph), entering the highway (45 ~ 65 mph), and 5th gear acceleration (70 ~ 85 mph). Hopefully they will all show up soon. Happy to email to you directly if allowed by admin. Thanks.

Hello all,
I've submitted PPI and DME for uploading. Based on the results, the engine air filter and brake flush were done today. DME shows only range 1 & 2, with last range 2 (55 total) about 700 engine hours ago. The shop's paint meter was broken so I will have to bring it back when their replacement arrives. The PPI did capture EVERY little exterior issues (some I never even noticed until it was brought to my attention). They did say paint appears original and most of the scratches can be fixed without touch-up paint.
Bidding will pick up once the PPI, DME and paint readings are posted

@jescotland Greetings,
I'm more than happy to submit video clips of the car sound at various speeds to PCARMARKET admin on Monday. You're welcome to message me via email and I can share my google drive folder with you. In addition to additional photos you will also find videos of the car at idle, opening and closing of sunroof, windows, rear spoiler etc.
The car is beautiful. Is it possible to do a video of how the car sounds at a couple of speeds? Thank you
Greetings all,
Wanted to give a quick update. I was unable to get the car in for PPI/DME as the shop was fully booked for today. The earliest availability will be next Monday. As promised earlier, I will submit the results as soon as possible. Thanks and have a wonderful weekend all.
@jselders Hello,
The only modification to the car is the aftermarket Alpine CarPlay stereo. The original PCM1 unit will accompany with the sale.
I purchased the car from an exotic car dealership, but unfortunately the previous owner didn’t provide service records when trading in the 996.
As a sign of good faith I have arranged a PPI and will be submitting the results along with DME. I’m also working on getting the paint meter reading as well.
Hello,
What mods have been performed?
Also, do you have full service records?
Greetings everyone! I'm Ili and the current owner/care taker of this 2002 Turbo. Must admit I have mixed emotions about listing my childhood dream car for sale. This car has brought so much joy to my life and is by far one of the most dependable and intoxicating driver's car I've ever owned. I will be here to answer any questions you have, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm confident the next owner will continue to treasure her as she rightfully deserve.
