We are pleased to present this 2002 Porsche 996 GT2 finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a black full leather interior.  Powered by a legendary 3.6 L twin turbocharged Mezger engine sending power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, the 996 GT2 is regarded as one of the most extreme and unadulterated road-going 911’s of all time.  With a factory build sheet totaling over $194k, this GT2 has been configured with exclusive options including additional leather details, aluminum instrument dials and painted hardback Sport Seats.  Being offered in outstanding overall condition by a seller in Canada with approximately 27k kilometers (17k miles) showing on the odometer, this rare 996 GT2 represents the perfect opportunity for an avid Porsche collector.

The Arctic Silver Metallic finish on this GT2 is shown to be in excellent condition with the front and rear bumpers both professionally refinished recently in 2020 (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery).  This GT2 can be distinguished by its wide Turbo body, unique front fascia and large fixed rear spoiler.  Standard yellow painted PCCB brake calipers can also be seen behind the factory 18” Turbo-Look II wheels which come dressed in brand new Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

Inside, the driver is greeted by a black leather upholstered cabin with painted hardback Sport Seats.  The interior is noted to be in fantastic shape and entirely free of modifications.  This GT2 also highlights the following list of exclusive factory options:

  • Cruise Control
  • Full Leather Package
  • Metal Door Sill Model Insignia
  • Aluminum Instrument Dials
  • A/B Pilar/Roof Liner in Leather
  • Steering Column in Leather
  • 3-Spoke Steering Wheel in Leather
  • Sport Seats Painted to Match
  • Porsche Crest in Headrests
  • Inner Sill Parts/Release in Leather
  • Front Floor Mats w/"Porsche" Logo
  • Footwell Lighting
  • Brake and Shifter in Carbon/Aluminum

Equipped with a venerable twin turbocharged Mezger 3.6 L flat-six engine, the GT2 is capable of sending 456 HP to the rear wheels through a visceral 6-speed manual transmission making for a 0-60 time of approximately 3.7 seconds.  Factory performance features include a limited slip differential, an adjustable sport-tuned suspension and Porsche ceramic composite brakes (PCCB).  The seller confirms all general maintenance to be up to date with a recent full service which included the following items:

  • Fluid and Filter Changes
  • New Battery
  • New Hood Struts
  • Wheel Alignment
  • New Spark Plugs
  • New Seal Ring

This GT2 is said to be in phenomenal driving condition, just waiting to be enjoyed by a new owner.

Included in the sale of this highly collectible 996 GT2 are a collection of service records dating back 10 years, a set of two keys, tools and books.  Sporting a timeless specification while displaying approximately 27k kilometers, this rare 996 GT2 offers an incredible opportunity.

Any mechanical updates or upgrades? I see the DME fault code P0240 which might imply aftermarket exhaust.

@Mikey01 Not to our knowledge. We sold the car to the last owner and he is more of a collector type owner. Based on the condition we believe it hasn't been tracked.

Under body shots are being posted shortly, the PCar team has them!

@sportscarguy3 I'll be filming a bit today with it. Already did a walk around video, expecting it to be posted today.

  • WeissachYVR (seller) 4 years, 4 monthsago

@sportscarguy3 Thanks! She's a stunner! I'll plug in a OBD Reader shortly that should state if it will pass Smog. Expect news shortly.

  • WeissachYVR (seller) 4 years, 4 monthsago

@Mtimmer Very simple, the car was originally sold out of Arizona so it's easy to get registered back in. We can assist as we have cars going over the border daily. I believe the cost is under $1k + shipping to where ever you are.

  • WeissachYVR (seller) 4 years, 4 monthsago

@Philly215 Hi! We do not have a paint meter reader, I'm asking around for one. The only panels that have been repainted to our knowledge are front and rear bumpers that we had professionally refinished.

  • sportscarguy3 (registered bidder) 4 years, 4 monthsago

Could you provide a few videos of the car.
    1. Cold start
    2. Warm engine revs
    3. Short drive and or walk around
    Thank you

  • sportscarguy3 (registered bidder) 4 years, 4 monthsago

Along with costs into US, add to California and will it pass California smog testing ?
    Handsome Porsche by the way.

  • Mtimmer 4 years, 4 monthsago

What is process and cost to import car to USA?

Standard question here...but paint meter readouts of the metal bits on the car when you could? Thanks!

  • WeissachYVR (seller) 4 years, 4 monthsago

@dinotom1 Hi! Thank you for your question. Happy to get some under body shots early this week. It's in absolute mint condition and not driven in any conditions that would cause any type of rust. It originally came from hot Arizona then to BC where our weather is very gentle on cars. Minimal cold and winters with almost zero snowfall.

  • dinotom1 (registered bidder) 4 years, 4 monthsago

Any chance we can get a few pictures posted of the underside of the car? Need to see if any rust issues since the car is from the north.
