@JPMD $80k for a 15k mile 996 GT2 is pretty light overall. That being said, I suspect the uncertainty of the accident repair was the main reason that the bidding stalled out.

@FLCarNut I have queried Carfax about this and have no response yet.

@btonilas Any news on the details of the accident and subsequent repairs. Why did it take CARFAX 16 years to report it? TIA...

Bid in the amount of $60,000
Loved the patina of the front lip, LOL! replaced mine 2x! I'll put a bid here since I missed my old one. These cars are happy at the track especially on a long straightaway it's a rocket in stock configuration
@btonilas Ever paint metered the car? Typically gives some insight. Can usually infer that a bumper has been replaced, etc.
@burnrubr I’d gladly provide information if I could get it. It happened two owners ago. It wasn’t reported until long after I purchased. I can do more digging to see what I can find out but that will take time.
@Sgraden Tires in excellent condition. Lots of tread remaining and the tires haven’t visited a track. Brakes also in great shape. I cannot say how much remains but can check with mechanic
I had a low mile 02 I sold 2.5 years ago to purchase an air cooled Cup Car and i'm still in touch with the new owner he recently texted me that he ran the car over 200 mph! It's a special car and next in line to appreciate in value. We need more specs in the nature of that accident though.
@JPD I cannot confirm if coolant tubes pinned or not. I have maintained basic service and regrettably to some extent, kept this thoroughbred in a petting zoo. In all honesty, If the coolant tubes have been pinned, it would have been done by a prior owner as it is beyond basic maintenance. Worth considering by anybody who wants to track the car
@lennon997 Correct. What I know is this: “accident “ happened during first owner tenure. Stevenson imports, who have serviced the car most of its life, have not noted any observations of significance upon my inquiry. I have had the car to 140 on the right highway and it was as if I were doing 50. I have never tracked the car, or even driven it in the rain. Tires, brakes in excellent condition
Have the coolant tubes been pinned?
Track history?
Definitely need all the info available on the accident, what was damaged/repaired, Was there an air bag deployment etc. It is a beauty for sure!
Hi. Can you please tell me what the condition of the tires, brakes and rotors are ? What percentage of each is left ? Thank you.
Any info on the accident the car was involved in early on in its life? That was not reported to carfax until 16 years later
Thank you bidders so far. This car is in immaculate condition. It is a true beauty and is the last of the non-nanny GT2's that doesn't have all of the electronic driving aids that subsequent models have. It has the raw power and driving features that Porsche is known for without the electronic gadgetry added in subsequent years. Tis' a truly remarkable vehicle.
