Up for auction is this 2002 Porsche 996 Carrera Cabriolet finished in Seal Grey Metallic over a Black leather interior. This example highlights a recent IMS bearing replacement along with an exceptionally clean appearance and some noteworthy options. It is now being offered by its seller in New York while showing approximately 34k miles on the odometer.
Finished in Seal Grey Metallic, the exterior of this Carrera is said to be in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear and a clean fabric Cabriolet top (detailed images and paint meter readings are provided in the photo gallery). This 996 rides on a set of factory multi-spoke wheels that wear brand new Continental tires.
Inside, this Carrera is equipped with a black leather interior featuring heated front seats. With an original sticker price of over $90k, this 996 is tastefully equipped with additional options such as the comfort package, technic package, Porsche stability management and AM/FM radio. The seller states that all accessories and electrical systems remain fully functional.
Power is derived from a naturally aspirated 3.6L flat-six engine allowing this Carrera to produce approximately 325hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. The benchmark 0-60mph is achieved in approximately 5 seconds by way of an automatic Tiptronic transmission which sends power to the rear wheels. Recently, a full engine out service was performed including an LN Engineering IMS replacement at a cost of over $7k. A set of new front brake pads and rotors were installed on this Carrera as well. All receipts and service records will be included showing this Carrera to be up to date on all scheduled maintenance.
The sale of this beautiful 996 Carrera Cabriolet will include a set of two keys, the original owner's books and window sticker, a spare tire and clean Carfax report. This 2002 996 Carrera Cabriolet offers the perfect opportunity to own a very solid and tastefully configured Porsche.

Wow, this is a bigger steal than the cobalt blue that was sold earlier this week for $12,500. Did not think the reserve was that low. Great buy!

@FLCarNut Scratches on the plastic. Normal wear and tear for an 18 year old car. Simple fix is a new console from Suncoast, cost less than $250. I’ve just chosen to live with it.
Seller: What are all those markings on the center console storage cover?
Car also has a K40 Radar Protection system (http://eight-comparison.flywheelsites.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/UNDETECT_BROCHURE_.pdf)
Just to add to the cars description of work completed, with the new front brake pads and rotors (July 2020), a full multipoint inspection was completed and DME (software) updated. This work was done by the local Porsche dealer.
