Factory equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and the coveted X50 Power Kit, this 2002 Porsche 996 Turbo was acquired by its current owner in 2016 and previously fitted with an EVOMS Stage 4 Upgrade Kit. The car comes finished in Slate Grey Metallic over a premium Grey Natural Leather interior with exclusive extended leather trim pieces. Tastefully upgraded with high-end modifications and diligently maintained with all service documented in an accompanying binder, this Turbo shows just over 92k miles on the odometer and is now being offered by its owner out of Southern California.
This Coupe comes finished in Seal Grey Metallic and features an OEM GT2 front bumper which was professionally painted and installed at Premier Coach. Nearly the full exterior has been preserved under Xpel clear paint protection film and the car is said to have always been garage-kept by the current owner. It rides on a set of 18” BBS E88 rims dressed in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, and the set of factory 18” Turbo wheels is said to accompany the sale as well. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with premium Grey natural Leather upholstery including optional supple leather seats with Porsche crested headrests and additional leather trim covering the sun visors, center console, seat adjustment knobs, and dome lamp. Other factory options include footwell lighting, aluminum instrument dials, stainless steel door sills with model insignias, the Parking Assist System, and heated front seats with lumbar support. A custom carbon fiber three-spoke steering wheel has been installed along with an aftermarket billet gear knob and an upgraded sound system including a touchscreen head unit.
The factory optional X50 Power Kit adds larger turbochargers and special tuning for an output up to 444 HP and 457 lb.-ft of torque stock. The 3.6-liter Mezger engine in this example has been further enhanced with an Evolution Motorsports Stage 4 Upgrade Kit which claims to add 130 HP using an improved V-Flow intake system, diverter valves, exhaust manifolds, intercoolers, boost hoses, and performance software. Power is sent to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Some records have been provided in the gallery and the seller reports all routine service was completed by certified technicians at RS Enterprises since 2016.
This sale will include a binder full of records along with a clean title.

@sportscarguy3 oh wow! Issues already? That’s why I kept mine maintained by RS Enterprise. No CEL, No smog issues. California compliant. ?
@vmax thank you. Still trying to sort through some of the issues, aftermarket exhaust had to come off stock exhaust back on for California smog
Failed, due to a custom tune and now my check engine light, probably a CO2 sensor
Hoping to get those things sorted this coming week and finally get a clean smog and registered so I can drive
@sportscarguy3 will do. Congrats again on your find. Smokem if you gotem…. ?
Vic, I understand
Please let me know if you’d consider selling the wheels sometime in the future, wheels and tires or just wheels
Thank you and good luck
@sportscarguy3 No thank you.
@vmax Consider swapping out wheels for wheels as well... ( if you like )
Not sure how to send you pics now / here but later perhaps
@sportscarguy3 hence the reason I can’t let it go for the bid that was made. Nice bid but not nice enough for me to accept.
@vmax Me too ! A great upgrade ! ( 15k ouch : ( )
@sportscarguy3 I got it off a guy on a 996TT Forum. Yeah, it’s pretty legit. I only wished that the Turbos came like that. I paid $15K parts, labor and paint. Not for the faint of heart.
@vmax Vic, I appreciate your prompt reply.
I understand. I have the same wheels ( Factory Hollow Twists ) on this 996 ( Seal Grey ) your wheels are just ( or appear ) darker than the usual Hollow Twists / mine and I thought they would look nice on the Seal Grey
PS. Where did you get the front ( GT3 ) clip ?
That is a must have for me ! Looks great !
@sportscarguy3 congrats on your find. I would have to hold off until the ad expires in a few days. The rims were offered as a package deal with the car. These are the hollow turbo twists. Not cheap.
Hello Again Vic,
As it turned out I found another 996 TT ( not as clean as yours but less miles )
That said, I really liked the stock wheels that you showed in your car's portfolio
would you have any interest in selling those to me ?
( are they stock 18" Factory wheels )
Steve
@sportscarguy3 Hello Steve. Turbo is still available. Please let me know of any questions you may have for this 996T. Thank you. R/Victor
Hello Vic
It’s Steve up here in Sonoma County California checking in to see what the status is of your Porsche
Please drop me a line when you have time
Steve
@sportscarguy3 No worries. Please take your time.
Vic, I have not, however, Thursday is my home office day ( Residential Construction Bus )
so i will attempt to reach him then
@sportscarguy3 Just FYI. I did NOT accept the offer of $61K. Were you able to reach out to my mechanic?
Vic, Yes Sir, I see the 61 K bid , of course, act in your own best interest
Regards,
S
@sportscarguy3 Sounds good Steve. Just for your situational awareness, someone from VA made a bid. Awesome to hear your Dad (RIP) served. Semper Fortis! Always Courageous.
R/Vic
Vic, Much appreciate your recent comments, my Dad ( RIP ), was life long Navy and retired as Captain, USNR, Treasure Island, San Francisco
Also good job with recent videos
I will reach out to your mechanic and I would not have to be there for the inspection we discussed.
Just when / if I fly down to see etc.
Regards, Steve
@sportscarguy3 Steve, I reached out to Jason Duarte owner and Porsche mechanic at RS ENTERPRISES and requested for you to call him regarding your inquiry to have 996T inspected for coolant lines. I am unsure if I can provide his direct contact number on here. So I ask that you Google RS ENTERPRISES, Ventura California. Just trying keep all lines of communication available and honest to you.
Respectfully,
Vic
Offer in the amount of $60,996
@PCARMARKET Please remove duplicate pictures of the seats that include the rip/tear. Also, I uploaded the following video clips (yesterday) IMG_4791.MOV, IMG_4794.MOV, and IMG_4795.MOV. Just curious to know if these video clips will be uploaded and posted today? I have a prospective buyer. Thank you!!!!
@sportscarguy3 @sportscarguy3Good morning Steve. I totally understand from a financial perspective. I am a retired Navy Veteran, served 20 years on active duty as a Corpsman and currently work for the Department of Defense. I appreciate hard work and truly humbled because of it. I feel that it is time for me to let go of the 996T and prepare to fully retire at 57 (52 now). Plans are to travel with my wife and vacation to spots I deployed to when I served. I will definitely continue to correspond with you. Question for you. Would you like to be present when Jason does his assessment/inspection of the car?

Hello Sir,
Again and as in the past few e-mails, I sincerely appreciate all your information.
FYI , I am also a longtime PCA member and although I am not well off financially, I have worked hard, as a Carpenter / Contractor over the years to take my older, air-cooled Porsche's and turn them into a better, newer model after however many years was required all the while enjoying the cars and driving experiences.
Finally this evening.
I appreciate your willingness to work with me regarding the coolant system and communication with your Porsche mechanic.
Let's continue to exchange conversations regarding the possibilities over the next couple of weeks. ( of course if another interested person comes along please advise but do what you must )
Steve
@sportscarguy3 Good evening Steve, just so you know, I called and left a voice message for Jason Duarte RS ENTERPRISE regarding the inspection of the entire car (coolant lines, etc,.). I should hear back from him either Monday (holiday) NLT than Tuesday and I will let you know as soon as possible.
@sportscarguy3 I almost regret NOT driving the car as much as I should have. These cars are meant to be driven. But I had 21,000 amazing driving miles, even if they were short, they were nothing short of amazing. I agree with having the car inspected. In fact, the car has been serviced by Jason Duarte (the owner of RS Enterprises / Porsche Mechanic). RS Enterprises is also featured and listed in our Local PCA - Santa Barbara Region "DER AUSPUFF" Magazine. If you like, I can set up an appointment with Jason to have him inspect all the coolant lines as you suggested/recommended and he will provide current disposition of the 996T. Jason is also the person that does routine oil changes on the car as needed. If you like, you can also speak to him (unsolicited) and ask about the car. Jason knows who I am and knows the car. He is a very honest mechanic (not cheap) and is very liked in the Porsche circuit here in the 805 (Ventura County). Let me know how you would like to proceed.
Seller,
Again, I appreciate the information regarding the car , it's condition as well as your history / usage
We seem to use our Porsche's in a similar manner, lightly and occasionally.
To continue
I have a few things going on currently, one of which is after selling my last, most recent Porsche, 1987 930 Turbo, I purchased a 2015 Corvette C-7 Z06 / Z07 / Carbon Fiber Package.
( have never driven or owned a Corvette )
While it is truly an incredible car, and value for the money ( besides CRAZY fast ! ) , I' m just an old Porsche man at heart.
So looking at the 996 Turbo and your handsome Porsche.
In closing
My plan would have to include flying down to see your Porsche and I would also want the " coolant system " inspected, all line, systems etc. etc. etc. as I have been reading how a problem there can result in an extremely large ( engine out ) repair (s) ( costs @ $ 20 - 25 K )
None of this would have to happen quickly however, would have to happen for me to make an offer.
Steve
@sportscarguy3 There are only a couple issues with the 996T. As I mentioned previously, an oil change is required prior to sale. The rip on the passenger seat has been addressed and will need to be taken cared of by the buyer. The car is "Turn Key" ready. The furthest drive I have ever taken this vehicle was 168 miles. This was back in 2016, the day I drove it from the car lot of All German Auto located in Escondido California to Camarillo, California (where I live). All the other mini commutes were at local Cars and Coffee car events held in Southern California (Santa Monica, Malibu, Topanga Canyon etc.,). I drove this car to work also and the commute was roughly 16 miles one way. The car does NOT need an alignment, it drives straight. The last alignment done on this car was late last year from what I can recall (I could not locate the receipt for this). Also, the car was smogged on May 13, 2022 at Carmen Auto Center Inc (Camarillo, Ca). Registration valid from 5/8/2022 - 5/8/2023. The tires on the OEM Turbo Twists (hollow) will need newer tires. These rims were ONLY used when I had the BBS E88s powder coated at Wheel Concepts (Camarillo Ca). I have receipts for this as well. All labor and work to include parts are inside a 3 ring binder which I meticulously arranged in date sequence. Many of the documents I received from All German Auto.
@sportscarguy3 My apologies. Apparently the videos I uploaded earlier will need to be attended by a staff member during normal business hours as per the guidance I read on PCARMARKET.
Hello Seller,
Not sure how to access the images you listed ?
Not critical, however, definitely helpful
Any other ( ANY ) ISSUES WITH THE PORSCHE ?
ANYTHING YOU BELIEVE / FEEL MIGHT NEED ATTENTION IN THE NEXT 5K - 10 K MILES
( DRIVEN AS YOU HAVE DRIVEN )
@sportscarguy3 I was able to figure it out. PCARMARKET did load the files but they did NOT come out. So I uploaded them again and verified if the ones that I recently sent worked. They look good on my end. Please view IMG_4791.MOV (Cold Start), IMG_4794.MOV (backing up the car to "roll"), and IMG_4795.MOV (car "rolling"). Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. Thank you.
@sportscarguy3 I actually submitted a cold start, and also car rolling to PCARMARKET but it seems they did NOT include them. I will upload and send what I sent them to you here shortly. I just need to navigate and learn how to do that. :-)
Seller, I appreciate your reply and good information.
It certainly looks like a well cared for Porsche, with documents and obvious condition.
Perhaps you can do a few videos, cold start, warm engine revs and simple driving video if you have time
BTW I live an hour or so North of San Francisco, Sonoma County / Santa Rosa area, so an easy flight down etc.
@sportscarguy3 I also had a PPI completed after I purchased the 996T on 11/17/2016. The invoice of labor completed by MKS Performance Porsche Specialist reads as follows:
Maintenance - Pre/Post Purchase Inspection (PPI) - Car is in very good overall condition, no obvious accident damage, no suspension or chassis damage issues found. I can send you all these receipts or can upload them as key supporting documentation if you like. Please let me know.
@sportscarguy3 Thank you for your e-mail. Great question. I have never since purchased back in 2016 have ever tracked this car. I totally understand the concerns with the coolant lines. I had plans to have them all pinned from the place I purchased this vehicle (All German Auto, Escondido California), but opted NOT to considering the logistics it involved. I live in Ventura County and Escondido is 160 miles from me. I also do not and have not tracked this car. From what I can tell you, I have records of a coolant flush (drained radiator and engine block for coolant, replaced seals, added coolant, bleed system and checked for leaks. This was completed by the All German Auto, Inc. back in 2009 by the the Original owner. Just a brief carfax history for you in regards to ownership - Owner 1 (2002) owned car for 9 years, 10 months 44,906 miles / Owner 2 (2012) owned car for 2 years, 11 months 65,168 miles / Owner 3 (2015) owned for 1 year, 5 months 70,547 and Owner 4 (2016) which would be me have owned it since 2019 and currently has 92,026 miles. Since owning I have put roughly 21,000 miles (6 years). This Porsche is a Garage Queen and hardly driven now. Passed smog (as always) and registered until May 2023. I will need to get an oil change before selling to new owner.
Very clean looking Porsche 996 turbo
I’m interested in the coolant lines, I see that you’ve done quite a bit of maintenance and nice modifications however don’t see much regarding coolant lines other than a pressure test sometime earlier can you comment on the condition of the coolant lines throughout the vehicle as I understand they are an area of concern and costly repair
Also, anything else of concern about the condition of the car other than the passenger seat
