We are pleased to present this low-mileage 2002 996 Turbo X50 finished in rare Carrara White over a black full leather interior. This example features a factory installed aero kit, X50 power package and legendary performance from the highly coveted 3.6L twin-turbo Mezger engine. Power is delivered to all-four wheels via a 5-speed automatic tiptronic S transmission, making for easy drivability and daily enjoyment. Distinctive wide-body styling, ferocious performance, and a rare color combination make this Turbo one of the more sought-after water-cooled 911’s on the market. Well-cared for, this example currently shows less than 31k miles on the odometer and is now being offered for auction in excellent condition by its seller in New York.
Finished in Carrara White, the seller reports that the exterior of this Turbo remains in exceptional all-original condition. The brilliant white paint perfectly accentuates the Turbo's distinctive wide body shell along with the highly desirable factory installed aerokit. This aerokit package includes a revised chin spoiler, side skirts, ventilated rear apron, and fixed wing with an integrated brake light. Additional exterior factory options include red brake calipers and 18” factory turbo-twist alloy wheels which come wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza tires.
Accompanied by an original build sheet totaling over $160k, this 996 is optioned in a sleek full black leather interior which highlights an exterior color-matched center console and deviated stitching throughout. The interior has been well-cared for with the only flaw being minimal creasing on the front seat leather. Additional interior features include heated front sport seats with hard shell seat backs, remote 6-disc CD changer, and 3-spoke leather steering wheel. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are stated to be fully functional.
This 996’s 3.6L twin-turbocharged flat-six engine delivers approximately 444 HP through Porsche’s AWD system by way of a smooth 5-speed Tiptronic transmission. The performance of this potent Mezger engine is further enhanced by the optional X50 package which consists of a revised ECU, quad-pipe exhaust, and larger K24 turbochargers and intercoolers. With these performance upgrades, this 996 can reach 60 mph in an astounding 3.7 seconds. This Turbo is stated to have been properly cared for throughout it's life with regularly scheduled maintenance. A recent service has been performed in October of this year.
Originally developed for Le Mans racing, the Mezger engine is regarded by many Porsche experts as the holy grail of water-cooled engines. Because of the grueling 24-hour format of the Le Mans race, engine dependability was prioritized from inception. Featuring a true dry sump and crank driven oil pumps, this engine doesn’t suffer from IMS bearing related issues as its oil system ensures constant lubrication. It is this bullet-proof dependability that makes the Mezger designed engine such a coveted power-plant for turbo-charged 911’s.
The sale of this 996 Turbo will include two sets of keys, original owner’s manuals, and a clean Carfax report.

@galileo Thank you for the prompt replies
@OnceBitten and to sum up your question, it does not look grey at all, looks black 100%.
@OnceBitten @ the "Natural" leathers (Grey and Brown) are an expensive option that is not just about color but is about the process. The naturals are "Aniline Dyed" or "Drum Tanned", which from what I can tell involves a process that more thoroughly penetrates the leather with color all the way through. Perhaps the leather is thicker also.
Natural Grey is just black to anybody's eyes, so obviously the value lies in the process and the "quality" of the leather.
Why does the build sheet and description list grey interior, but pictures and replies here indicate black interior?

@Ejdean67 interior is black.
interior black or grey ?
is the interior black or grey ?
Thanks
@OakMan you are correct, that is a standard front splitter for a turbo, must have been replaced at some point as these get easily damaged.
Some notes from the peanut gallery. Fact quad tip X54 option separate from X50 power option. This turbo has the standard tips. Also the front spoiler shown is a standard spoiler painted it is not an aero kit spoiler.
@mx114 No DME, it's a tiptronic.
DME report????

@Carrerachas the description is inaccurate, quad exhaust was an option on an x50, this car has standard oval exhaust tips. In regards to maintenance this car recieved and full major service in 2014 which included belts/spark plugs etc..

I like this one in white even with the trans. With this low mileage what would be needed maintenance / repair wise going forward. The description notes a quad exhaust but it appears to be a dual. Is the quad an option with the x50?
Agreed Blockhead. To make any kind of top dollar for a 996, it has to be a turbo, X50 with manual shifter , factory aero and preferably some distinctive wheels. Without those items, it for the life of me, isn't going to stir buyers' pocketbooks. This is a very nice car, I'll say mid fifties.....lots of bang for a new buyer's buck....
Registered to say the same thing re: 3rd pedal. Awesome spec'd car for someone who wants the auto
I had a hartattack of joy until i saw lack of 3rd pedal. I would have sold.my soul for this in manual.
