This sale will include the original books and window sticker, a set of 2 keys, and a clean title. Just over 6k miles from new, this 6-speed Turbo is sure to meet the standards of any discerning Porsche collector.

The paint on this car looks fantastic under those lights!!. Looks like someone started the painful process of removing the cosmoline and lost interest midway through.

@surroues it's not as far off the reserve as you might think :-)

LOL at $250 bid increments. Did anybody see what the seller was asking for this car before the auction? At $250 raises each bid we will be here in January 2021 and still not meet reserve.

@SBerastequi Took a closer look at the seat, the area you are referring to is infact a discoloration and not a shadow. Can't believe we never noticed it. I had our leather reconditioning guy look at it this afternoon, he said it looks like someone tried to clean something off the seat at some point and whatever chemical they used wasn't meant for leather and ate into the black leather dye. He said he can re-dye the bottom cushion easily though and make it look normal / factory again. We will have that taken care of.

@Beamerdan1 sorry for the delay, made a short video with the paint meter readings. Link here - https://youtu.be/FmC5OXPbmTE

  • FloridaPerformance1 (seller) 3 years, 10 monthsago

@supermoo yes, there was something sprayed on the underside- it's a factory Porsche coating called Cosmoline. You can Google it, there are a lot of threads on Porsche forums about it and they all eventually look like this on the underside because of it.

  • supermoo (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

Beautiful car but the underside seems like it has a lot of discoloration on it? Was there anything that might have gotten sprayed on the underside? You can see that the crankcase looks to have the 'rust' color removed from it but the rest of the underside is pretty caked.

  • FloridaPerformance1 (seller) 3 years, 10 monthsago

@SBerastequi I see what you are referring to- I'll take a look at it tomorrow and send PCAR updated photos if necessary.

  • FloridaPerformance1 (seller) 3 years, 10 monthsago

@Beamerdan1 Will get those done and posted ASAP.

  • SBerastequi (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

At the risk of appearing nitpicking, there appears to be several stain spots on the front driver’s seat. I have studied all the pictures of the driver seat and, although I originally thought it to be shadows, it really appears to be stains on the leather. Can these stains be mitigated? I don’t mean to be overly critical of your car but certain standards are expected when a car has only 6300 miles.

  • Beamerdan1 (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

beautiful car can you please post pics with paint meter readings

  • FloridaPerformance1 (seller) 3 years, 10 monthsago

@rbrunson DME is in the photos.

  • FloridaPerformance1 (seller) 3 years, 10 monthsago

@SBerastequi All close-ups of each wheel and brake rotor are up!

  • Skier_doc (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

Looks exceptional. 6000 miles is just amazing.

  • FloridaPerformance1 (seller) 3 years, 10 monthsago

@rbrunson @SBerastequi DME Report and individual close-up photos of each wheel and brake rotor have been submitted to PCARMARKET. They should have them up before end of day.

  • FloridaPerformance1 (seller) 3 years, 10 monthsago

@SBerastequi Absolutely, will take some photos of all 4 with a flashlight and send to PCAR on Monday.

  • SBerastequi (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

Thank you for the quick answer, two last questions:
    1) Could we have pics of the other two rims and brakes?
    2) The rotor on the front driver’s side looks as if it is scored and the caliper looks a little beat up for a 6000 mile car. Not trying to be critical but this stands out on such a low mileage car.
    Thank you

  • FloridaPerformance1 (seller) 3 years, 10 monthsago

@SBerastequi Absolutely we can have PPF done for the buyer. Our local guy uses the XPEL self-healing film, custom cut on each car for a seamless install (wrapped around the edges of panels). For a full front-end w/ bumper, fenders, bonnet, and side mirrors they charge $1,800.00.

The battery was replaced twice recently because the dealership that changed it the first time used the wrong size battery, causing it to have a weak start, so we had it changed to the proper size.

Yes, the wing functions properly and as it should. Our photographer just puts the spoilers up for photos.

  • SBerastequi (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

    1) Would you be able to install PPF on the car if the new owner requested it?
    2) Why was the battery replaced twice in July and August of 2020?
    3) The rear wing appears up in all pictures, does it function as it should—either manually or speed related?

  • FloridaPerformance1 (seller) 3 years, 10 monthsago

Hi! No paint protection film on the car at the moment. I'm told it was removed a few years ago due to age and they never got around to having new film installed due to the limited use. As an added note to that subject- the front end currently has no rock chips or "peppering" of any kind.

  • SBerastequi (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

Any paint protection film on car?

  • Airliner1 (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

Wow, a pretty much new 996TT with lots of the right pieces. This will be fun to watch as these incredible machines are starting to finally get the respect they deserve! GLWTA!
