The final live auction bid of $46,911 is slightly less but basically about the same as the previous Cars and Bids high bid of $47,500. The buyer's market is consistent in its valuation of the presentation.

@jmorin None
@legend Maybe to be more specific, any corrosion along or under and of the window, door, or hatch seals?
Thanks.
A DME report on a manual 996 isn't useless, but it doesn't tell you much either. It's not like the later cars.

@Paddle911 I don't have a DME. I tried using different OBD scanners but was unable to pull the DME report
@jmorin Thank you, I appreciate the input... I drove it locally and on the highways. The shifting was smooth through all the gears and 2nd gear never popped out or any other issue occur.
Has a DME engine over-rev report been posted and I just missed it?
@legend - Since tires, especially this not-so-common size, can sit in the warehouse for quite a while before someone actually purchases and installs them, you can confirm a tire's age if you look for the date code stamped on the sidewall. Google tire date code if you need more information.
In my view, this car is a well-maintained (documented dealer service history), light-use-but-daily-driver, year-round (per carfax entries) from the northeast. The corrosion on the hardware underneath is obvious. Just about anything carbon steel (brackets, bolts) is rusted. The aluminum is highly oxidized, but that's mostly cosmetic. I'd want some reassurance around the 2nd gear pop-out issue (I had one of these, the fix from Porsche was a new transmission). Sort of that, if you just want to daily it without ever looking underneath, this could be a great car. it sure presents well topside for its age and mileage.
@Woodrm64 I looked over the Mavis tire receipts. I don't know the answer but I think maybe 2 tires were Feb 2021 and then the other 2 tires replaced in August 2021

@Paddle911 you are RIGHT even the vin matches!
@Paddle911 can't be - that one had "Some corrosion on underbody components" and the seller told me this one didn't . /s

@Woodrm64 You’re welcome & thank you!
I will get back to you about the tires.
There are no abnormal sounds. It sounds like a proper 911 which is amazing!
Bid in the amount of $32,000
Thank you for providing the receipts, much appreciated. A great looking car.
I do have a couple of questions:
1. So were the rear tires replaced on 2/06/2021 and then 6 months later on 8/25/2021? If so, why replaced after just 6 1/2 months and 6,000 miles apart?
2. On the 6/11/2021 invoice, there were reports of the engine not sounding right—a high-pitched whining noise when cold and a separate clicking noise when the engine was running. The tech mentioned no abnormal sounds. Can you please report if there have been additional sounds the engine makes that are not normal and also advise on whether the reasons for both sounds were ever tracked down and fixed? Thank you.

@Kevinmr Hi, there is some road grime and oxidation underneath the car but no corrosion, rust or leaks. It is a terrific car that is amazing to drive. The underneath has not been cleaned so it is true to what 22 years of 911 Turbo life looks like.
Welcome to our 2002 911 Turbo auction, I hope that everyone will enjoy it!
This Classic 911 Turbo looks incredible and is a blast to drive.
I have posted many different pictures and will be adding more as the auction continues if needed.
There is a cold start, walk around video and driving video to help you bid with confidence.

@seller - can you comment on the level of corrosion present anywhere. Saw pic #96 and wondered. Thank you.
