Equipped with a twin-turbocharged Mezger engine derived from the Le Mans winning 911 GT1 race car, this 2002 Porsche 996 Turbo Coupe comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and optioned with a 6-speed manual transmission sending power to all four wheels. The Graphite Grey full leather interior is appointed with supple leather seats, a painted center console, and exclusive aluminum trim pieces. It was acquired by the current owner in 2021 and subsequently treated to new tires, a 997 short shifter, and an upgraded Porsche Classic head unit. This Turbo is now being offered for auction out of California with just over 28k miles showing on the odometer.
The Turbo-specific bodywork includes wide fenders with integrated side air intakes as well as unique bumpers and a speed-activated rear spoiler. This Coupe is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and rides on factory 18” 911 Turbo wheels dressed in new Yokohama Advan A052 tires within the last 1k miles. The front bumper is said to have been refinished under prior ownership to address scratches left behind from the removal of a license plate holder, which is said to account for the minor damage reported on CARFAX in 2021.
The cabin is appointed with Graphite Grey full leather including optional heated supple leather seats with lumbar support. Other options include an exclusive painted center console in Arctic Silver Metallic, a three-spoke steering wheel in leather, aluminum inlays for the shifter and brake handle, aluminum instrument dials, and metal door sill model insignias. The driver’s side window regulator was replaced under current ownership along with the installation of a 997 short-shift kit and an upgraded Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) head unit with microphone integration and a SiriusXM satellite radio receiver.
Producing up to 415 HP and 415 lb.-ft of torque, the twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission that drives all four wheels. The diverter valves were replaced under the seller's care and the clutch and slave cylinder are said to have been replaced under prior ownership within the last 2k miles. An oil change was recently completed in preparation for sale and the CARFAX report shows additional maintenance history dating back to the original pre-delivery inspection.
This sale will include a clean title, the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, an air pump, a car cover, and a battery charger.

I wonder if my wife will kill me if I jump in on this one? Lmao
Thanks, sorry brain fart, misread Dec 2022 for Dec 2023, even though I typed it out too.
@airbenz The stickers have an expiration date of December 2023 as seen in the photos.
@airbenz The car is currently registered and everything is current and up to date.
If a California bidder wins, then does he or she have to pay "back/past" late registration from Dec 2023? Also, the car has not been smogged yet for renewal for California registration? Thanks for the reply.

If anyone has any last minute questions I'm here to answer them. Good luck all!

@Rockerceo 996 Turbo is heavy metal cloaked in soft jazz. Definitely a sleeper until you put the foot down…rock on! ??
Porsche fans do not let this car slip past you. I absolutely love the 996 and the Turbo is wonderful. Disregard the crying about the headlights (they really are cool) just drive the car the way it’s meant to be driven! And BTW, the 996 isn’t going down in price.
@airbenz I don’t have any pictures of the undercarriage handy but this is a rust free vehicle.
Bid in the amount of $50,750
I know it may be a bit late, but do you have any pictures of the undercarriage? Is there any sign of rust, looks like the car spent some time on the east coast. Thanks
thanks will try and tackle myself...Good luck with auction super nice turbo...
@Hugihard-J I did the install myself. It’s all plug and play with the factory harnesses so if you’re comfortable working on cars it’s a fairly easy install.
Nice car and low miles. This could almost be a collectors car. GLWTS

Hi
curious who installed the PCCM Im local and was interested in having one put in mine..
beautiful turbo..
Beautiful car!! The 996 is such a sweet spot in the succession. I know it’s taken it’s share of bad press but it truly is a great driving 911. And the turbo is amazing! Somebody is getting a great one here!!
@Mnzu7 As stated in the listing, the prior owner had the front bumper repainted to repair scratches to the finish from the front license plate holder. That triggered the minor damage indicated on the Carfax.
@CocoThunder I do agree on the revs side of the DME report. However, the report also includes the total hours of operation (indicating the accuracy of the mileage) and the total number of programmings (possible indication of the car being tuned in the past).
Do you have any info on the damage reported on carfax?
Thank you!
Bid in the amount of $50,000
@Mnzu7 Paint meter readings showing original paint have been added to the gallery. Unfortunately I won't be able to get a DME report prior to the close of the auction. I tried borrowing a buddy's Foxwell scan tool to see if that would do it but apparently it is only able to read the DME on the 997. Given that the 996 shows only rev Range 1 and 2 the internet is divided about how valuable a DME for these cars really is. It was something I wasn't concerned with when I purchased the vehicle given the overall condition and the fact that it was owned by an elderly gentleman who had a number of Porsches and clearly babied the vehicle.
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
@Mnzu7 I just ordered a paint meter reader on Amazon and will try to get paint meter readings for you over the weekend. I can also try to find a shop to run a DME report for me as well but no promises on that one. If I can get it done I most certainly will.
Hey! Would you be able to submit paint meter readings and a DME report before the end of the auction?
Thank you!

Also, I apologize for the shakiness in the driving video but I had a limited window of time to get the video filmed between thunderstorms and had to do it solo. Hopefully you're still able to get a sense of how great she runs despite the shakiness.
Hi All! I'm here to answer any questions you may have about the vehicle. I've owned the car for about two years and it's been a great ownership experience but I'm officially out of space and it's time to move the car to a new home. As the listing states I've replaced all of the things that needed to be addressed such as tires, window regulator and diverter valves. Mezger engines are almost bulletproof and maintenance is up to date. The only thing that hasn't been done, and is subject to interpretation as to whether or not it's needed, is that the coolant lines haven't been pinned/welded. Other than that, I'm here to answer any questions you may have and welcome PPIs and in-person viewing.
