Now available for auction is this 2002 Porsche 996 Turbo Coupe finished in Guards Red over a Brown Natural leather interior. The flagship model of the 996 generation, the 911 Turbo is equipped with a race-derived Mezger engine sending up to 415 HP to all four wheels. This 2002 example was optioned with a 5-speed Tiptronic S transmission, supple leather upholstery, heated front seats, the Design Package, and Porsche crested headrests. Acquired by the second owner in 2012, this Turbo is said to have been driven sparingly while enjoying a well-documented maintenance history including pinned coolant pipes in 2015. Showing just under 23k miles on the odometer, this 996 Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Ohio.
This 996 was ordered in classic Guards Red (G1) and preserved with paint protection film over the front end, fenders, and mirror covers. The previous owner reportedly had the front end refinished for cosmetic purposes prior to the application of protection film. This example rides on factory 18” 911 Turbo wheels with optional colored center crests and Yokohama Advan tires from 2012. The seller notes some minor signs of road-going wear to the underside, additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The interior is appointed with premium Brown Natural leather including optional supple leather upholstery for the front and rear seats. The front seats feature heating and power adjustability as well as exclusive Porsche crested headrests. The optional Design Package (P71) adds stainless steel door sills with model insignias along with aluminum-look instrument dials and aluminum inlays for the leather shifter and handbrake lever. An image of the original window sticker can be found in the gallery totaling over $126k.
The twin-turbocharged 3.6L Mezger flat-six engine delivers up to 415 HP to all four wheels by way of a 5-speed Tiptronic S transmission allowing for both manual and automatic gear changes. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is accomplished in approximately 4 seconds with a top speed of nearly 190 MPH. The brake system includes fixes 4-piston aluminum monobloc calipers paired with ventilated and cross-drilled 330mm discs. Porsche Stability Management (PSM) with ABS 5.7, ASR, and ABD also came standard on the Turbo. This example has been modified with a COBB tune, and the coolant lines were pinned in 2015. Maintenance records are available dating back to 2012 with the most service being the replacement of the battery in 2020.
This sale will include a set of two keys, owner’s manuals, the original window sticker, service records, and a clean title.

@robmsales Correct and correct
Hi, switchcars.
I can see two pictures with small paint scratches in them- picture #62 looks like on the side of a door - correct? On picture #46, I'm not sure it is on the driver's front fender?
Thanks, Rob

@Mongoosedoc It's a very robust transmission, and while not as seamless as the new double-clutch PDK, it is far and away better than any single-clutch sequential manual gearbox.
How do you like the Tiptronic?

@Mongoosedoc This one has not performed in snow, but 911s in general are very good all-weather cars. I personally have a RWD base 911 with snow tires as my winter car.
Any idea how this gorgeous car performs in snow?
