Available for auction is this 2002 Porsche 996 Turbo Coupe finished in Seal Grey Metallic over a Graphite Grey Full Leather Interior. Equipped with a sought-after twin-turbocharged Mezger engine mated to 6-speed manual transmission, this already impressive example has been further enhanced with several OEM upgrades. The car is said to have been acquired by the seller in 2016 from Porsche North Houston where it is believed to have been regularly maintained since 2013. Now with just over 39k miles showing on the odometer, this 996 Turbo is being offered for auction by its seller out Texas.
This 911 is finished in Seal Grey Metallic and highlights signature widened Turbo rear fenders, model-specific bumpers, and an automatically deployed rear spoiler. The finish on this Turbo is said to be well-preserved paint protection film covering the front bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors, windshield, and the leading edge of the roof. The seller notes only small touch-ups on the fenders, which can be viewed in the gallery. This 996 rides on factory 18” Turbo Twist wheels with colored crest center caps and come dressed in factory specification Michelin tires.
Inside, this Turbo has been appointed with a premium Graphite Grey full leather interior featuring Supple Leather seating, power lumbar support, and Porsche crested headrests. The cabin remains well preserved showing normal wear on the driver’s seat bolster, as well as the kick plates in the door sill. Additional factory options include automatic climate control, Porsche Communication Management, an AM/FM radio with a CD player, as well as a remote 6-disc CD changer. The seller notes that all gauges, lights, and features remain functional, and the interior switches were refreshed under previous ownership.
The race-derived 3.6L twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine generates up to 415 HP which is distributed among all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Minor upgrades have been completed to improve driving feedback using genuine Porsche parts including a Short Shift Kit, Sport/RS engine mounts, and upgraded transmission mounts. According to the seller, this Turbo has been maintained through Porsche dealers for much of its life, supporting documentation to be included with this sale. With an oil and filter service having been carried out this summer, there are no outstanding service items noted at this time.
Included in this sale will be all books, three keys, service records, window sticker, spare tire, tool kit, and the stock motor mounts. This 6-speed Turbo is not to be overlooked.

@alexdad good morning, spoiler functions normally -- raises with switch and comes up at highway speed. I have not replaced the unit with an aftermarket kit. No leakage, but rams are shiny. Would keep an eye on this item, but this is normal with 996TT. Let me know if you have any other questions.

@Airliner1 Agreed -- any 996TT is a lot of car!
@Rfester20 The X50 power option for the '02-'04 996TT was a $17,800 Porsche option that added larger K24 turbochargers and intercoolers and a revised ECU that brought the horsepower up to nearly 450hp creating a machine that guaranteed a sh*t-eating grin from ear to ear! They are somewhat rare due to the price, but oh what fun.... Either way, you can't go wrong with a 996TT!
@Rfester20 Good morning, this car doesn't have the X50 option. The X50 option upgraded the car with larger turbochargers and intercoolers and was standard equipment on the later Turbo S model. Hope that answers your question.
Help from the seller and the community here. I know the 996 turbo has 2 different options. This is the Mezger. Does this also have the x50 package? And was that automatically with one of the engine and not the other. Thanks for the education.
