Now available for auction is this 2002 Porsche 996 GT2 finished in Speed Yellow. Based on the 911 Turbo, the GT2 was introduced as the most high-performance road-going version of the Porsche 996. It features revised bodywork, carbon-ceramic brakes, and a 3.6L twin-turbocharged Mezger engine sending power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox. This desirable European-market example features leather-upholstered Recaro Clubsport seats as well as an Exclusive factory optioned stainless-steel roll bar. It is said to have been imported to the U.S. during its production year with approximately 1k miles on the odometer. Now showing just over 8k miles on the odometer, this rare 996 GT2 is being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida accompanied by owner’s manuals, original accessories, and a collection of service records.
This GT2 is finished in the rarely seen color of Speed Yellow and shares its wide fenders and side air intakes with the Turbo model. Unique details include a model-specific front fascia with additional vents on the top side, an extended front spoiler lip, and a fixed rear wing. Clear paint protection film has been installed over the partial front end and the leading edge of the roof and a removable Clubsport graphic has been applied to the left front fender, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. Yellow PCCB calipers can be seen behind the factory 18” Turbo Look II wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires dated from 2015.
Inside, this GT2 features a black interior with leather upholstered Recaro Clubsport bucket seats. A factory Exclusive stainless-steel roll bar is equipped as well as optional stainless-steel door entry guards with model logos. Additional equipment includes automatic air conditioning, a CD compartment, a front center console, and a sound system with an original Porsche CDR-22 radio. An importation label is located within the driver’s door jamb and a substitute U.S. VIN tag can be seen toward the bottom of the windshield.
Powering this GT2 is a legendary 3.6L twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. As much as 456 HP and 457 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels allowing for acceleration from 0-60 MPH in approximately 4 seconds. Other standard performance features include a lowered sport-tuned suspension, adjustable anti-roll bars, and ventilated Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) with 6-piston calipers in front and 4-piston calipers in the rear. A collection of maintenance records is included showing some routine service history, and the seller reports that the coolant level sensor was replaced in October of 2013. The fuel system was also cleaned along with a brake fluid flush in April of 2015.
This sale will include original owner's manuals, some service records, tools, a first aid kit, air pump, and a clean title. Among the rarest and most sought-after models of the 996 generation, this European-spec GT2 would make a fine addition to any world-class Porsche collection.

Amazing 911 GT2. I was so happy to see the roll bar is black and not painted yellow never been a big fan or color keyed roll bars. To me that is like Look at me I have a roll bar in my car. Rant over. Best of luck these are special cars.
