The rarest body style of the Porsche 996 generation, the Carrera Targa was introduced in 2002 featuring a panoramic sliding glass roof system and the first opening rear hatch window on a 911 model. This 2002 example is finished in Seal Grey Metallic over a Graphite Grey interior and is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission paired with its 3.6-liter flat-six engine. The car is factory-optioned with heated and power-operated leather seats, Porsche-crested headrests, Light Burr Maple shift knob and handbrake trim, self-dimming mirrors, rain sensing wipers, Porsche Stability Management (PSM), a rear window wiper, the Advanced Technic Package, and 18” Carrera II light alloy wheels. This 996 was previously owned in Oregon and California before it was purchased by the seller in 2024. Showing approximately 130k miles on the odometer, this 6-speed 996 Carrera Targa is now being offered for auction out of Louisiana.

This 996 is finished in Seal Grey Metallic. It features a sliding panoramic glass roof system, an opening rear hatch window, optional Litronic bi-xenon headlamps, self-dimming mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, a rear window wiper, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets. The car rides on optional 18” Carrera II light alloy wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. New Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires were mounted in November 2022 at 120k miles. The seller indicates the wheel center caps were replaced and the front bumper cover was refinished under their ownership. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The Graphite Grey interior features optional 8-way power-adjustable heated leather seats with Porsche-crests headrests. Other accessories include a three-spoke leather steering wheel, optional Light Burr Maple wood trim for the shifter and brake handle, driver seat memory, automatic climate control, cruise control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a remote central locking system, an onboard computer, Porsche CDR-220 stereo, a 6-disc CD changer, and a Bose sound system included with the Advanced Technic Package. The center console was painted to match the exterior under current ownership, and a radio cable has been installed that disables the CD changer in place of a cell phone connection.

The naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transaxle. The seller states the shocks and struts were replaced in 2019 and the spark plugs, ignition coils, and belts were replaced in November 2022 at 120k miles.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.

@Peewee73 The second and third keys will unlock the doors if inserted into the keyhole and will also start the car. Only the remote buttons on them do not work. The new key, all functions work.

Good morning. Question about the second key that you said the electronics aren't working. Does it only manually unlock the car or can it be used to start the car also? Thanks.

@luis.seneriz Glad you are interested. Bid what you think it's worth.... You never know what will happen. If you are near Louisiana contact me and you can look it over in person and take a test drive. It is really nicer than any photo can portray.

No disrespect but a car or a property at a particular place in time are going to be worth what someone is willing to pay for them. Not any different than a stock in the stock market. A targa is pretty cool because of the hatch. No it’s not as sturdy as a coupe, but by the same token it’s not as flimsy as a convertible, make sure the drains are clear and the roof mechanism operates properly and you are good.

@luis.seneriz That is correct. It didn't quite meet what I needed to get for the car. Car is in excellent condition and needs nothing.

I’m not sure but this car for sale in a different auction site. Seller I’m not being negative and I also have an early 99 car and an 03 triple black turbo that I bought here almost 3 years ago. Anyway I would be interested in this car. Seller if I recalled correctly you stated on the last auction that you couldn’t let go this car for whatever money it was bid.

Hello and welcome to my auction of the Porsche 911 Targa. This car is in excellent condition with all maintenance recently done. Reason for sale is that I have purchased a 2001 911 Turbo and need the extra spot in my garage. Thanks for looking and either post any questions here or use the contact seller button to contact me directly.
