We are pleased to present this 2002 Porsche 996 Carrera Cabriolet 6-speed finished in Speed Yellow over a black interior with painted hardback leather Sport Seats. Sold at an original sticker price of over $89k from a dealership in California, this 2002 example showcases exclusive options including contrasting Speed Yellow interior accents, flared rocker panels, and the Advanced Technic Package. This Cabriolet has been meticulously cared for throughout its life with an IMS bearing upgrade recently carried out at a cost of over $3k. Accompanied by a complete collection of records from new, this 996 is now being offered by its 2nd owner out of Texas while showing just over 25k miles on the odometer.
The eye-catching Speed Yellow finish is said to be in excellent condition with a recent paint correction and G-Techniq ceramic coating treatment. Clear paint protection film has also been applied over the entire front end including the mirror covers. Carfax shows minor damage to the rear end in 2003 which is said to have been a cosmetic imperfection addressed at the dealership when new. Noteworthy details on this example include window tint, optional flared rocker panels, and factory 18” light alloy Carrera wheels that come dressed in older but healthy Continental Extreme Contact tires.
Inside, the black interior has been appointed with desirable painted hardback Sport Seats in leather. Other exclusive features include a Speed Yellow painted rear center console, Speed Yellow seatbelts, and a shifter and brake handle in aluminum/leather. Amenities include heated front seats, Porsche Stability Management (PSM), and the Advanced Technic Package which includes a rear wind deflector, 6-disc CD changer, and the Bose Digital Audio System. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional and an aftermarket Rennkit Bluetooth receiver has been integrated along with a cell phone mount.
This 996 is equipped with a 3.6 L flat-six engine capable of developing 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transmission allowing for a 0-60 time of approximately 5 seconds and a top speed north of 170 MPH. The rear main seal is reported to have been replaced at the selling dealership under warranty when new, and the IMS bearing was upgraded earlier in 2020 (invoice provided in the photo gallery). Complete service records are available dating back to the original purchase and this 996 is reported to be in exceptional driving condition with a new battery recently installed.
This sale will include a set of 2 keys and 1 valet key, the original books and tools, service records, the original window sticker, a Porsche wind deflector, an interior LED lighting kit, spare storage compartment cubbies, an extra windshield washer cover, and a clean title. This beautifully presented and generously equipped Cabriolet makes the perfect 996 for any discerning enthusiast, do not miss out.

@mreding13 I am very interested in your car but you’ve implied you have other Pcars to sell. How can I find out what else might be available?

@Cristma in pictures 47, and 68 you can see the lines in the rear window, and the heating control button for the glass heated rear window. I never went to the dealer to get a DME report as this vehicle has never been tracked, or used in that way as I know the previous owners.
Hello - Does this have the heated glass rear window? Any DME report available?
Bid in the amount of $10,000
Also while I wait for it to upload, per several private requests here is a video of the car starting and the top going up and down:

@Vetman001 here are some in process pictures of the paint correction:

@Vetman001 it has had a full paint correction by Ten Flat detailing here in Dallas. The only issue with the paint is road chips from small rocks over the years in the front bumper, and two on the hood. They have been corrected, but if someone wanted it “perfect” they would respray the front bumper. I like it more as a survivor, and have locked it in with paint protection film and Gtechniq 5 year ceramic coating. If you want any specific pictures, let me know.
I think the car looks great for 18.
Any imperfections in the paint?
@GP1393 I should be there.
Bring it out to M&M this weekend to promote it for sale. Lots of Porsche tinted eyeballs all in one place.
Good luck everyone! My family and I are moving across country for a new opportunity, and I don’t have room for all the Porsches I own, and some had to go. I hope the next owner appreciates how special this car is, and enjoys it. If you have questions, please let me know and I will respond back ASAP.
