Offering an open-top driving experience and naturally aspirated flat-six power, this 2002 Porsche 996 Carrera Cabriolet comes finished in Guards Red over Black upholstery. It was generously optioned with 18” Sport Design wheels, Porsche Stability Management, the Advanced Technic Package, Sport Seats with deviated stitching, painted seatbacks, a painted rear center console, Guards Red seatbelts, and much more. Modified with a Gundo exhaust system, this 996 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Hampshire with approximately 67k miles showing on the odometer.
This Carrera comes finished in the traditional Porsche shade of Guards Red with a black convertible soft top and rides on optional 18” Sport Design wheels. The removable hardtop will also be included in the sale. The optional Advanced Technic Package adds bi-xenon headlights with washers. Modifications include lightly smoked protection film on the headlights, taillights, and corner lights, which were performed by Alliance Auto in Nashua, New Hampshire. The seller notes two small paint chips on the front bumper, the right rear wheel shows curb rash, and the car had been fully color-corrected and ceramic coated. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin presents Black upholstery, including optional leather Sport Seats with Porsche-crested headrests and deviated stitching, along with interior-colored floor mats with Porsche lettering. Other options include the Heated Front Seats Package, painted seatbacks, a painted rear center console, Guards Red seatbelts, and aluminum/leather shifter & brake handles. Additionally, the Advanced Technic Package includes a Bose sound system. Some wear is noted on the driver’s seat, and the cup holder panel is missing a small corner. Additionally, the O2 sensor from the aftermarket Gundo exhaust causes the warning to illuminate.
A naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes paired with ventilated discs at each corner. This car was also optioned with Porsche Stability Management (PSM). The seller adds that a Gundo exhaust was installed by Alliance Auto, and some service records will accompany the sale.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “I’m selling my car to fund a trip for my son and I to travel the world together. He has NF2 and will lose his hearing and vision, so I want him to see and hear as much as possible before then. Godspeed to you and your family.”

@Bilinski4447 . It also says low mileage are more at risk of breaking, and high mileage are better for IMS issues, as they would have already broken or seized.
@Steveduva It’s a decal for a group that supports veterans like myself but
mainly SEAL Gold Star Families. No I am not a SEAL, I’m a Marine and do swims and events to support veterans. I hope I answered your question. I apologize for not responding sooner. Work with loud machines. Thank you for your interest and I look forward to seeing your bid.
And thank you for your prayers for my son.
@Bilinski4447 Bought it with 43k on it and put 20k on it. Had Porsche specialist here in NH,who does the aftermarket work for Porsche of Nashua, check the IMS when I was having it gone through after the purchase and said it would only be for peace of mind but it was not the bearing that falls. I have service records for the past two years. The Light is on as a result from the Gundo Exhaust work. It showed a bad O2 sensor and was replaced by another Porsche Specialist, ZAKS AUTO. They said it still shows up but not sure why. I’ve had the code read 3x by 2 different shops and they both say the same thing.
What does the sticker say on the driver side rear? Also god bless you and your son !! 🙏
IMS bearing work complete? Ant maintenance issues?

I admit It’s not Concourse quality, it shows what a well-maintained 22yr old drivers car would have. The uniqueness of this car is the spec, color and I have the hardtop to match.

@Dbahnick I have to stay positive. It doesn’t have lumbar support no. But I have done an 8hr drive in the car and it was surprisingly comfortable. I’m 6’1 190 lbs and it felt good. Thank you for your inquiry
