Presented in Speed Yellow over a Brown Natural Leather interior, this 2002 Porsche 996 Turbo Coupe came factory equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission along with the Carbon Interior Package, a carbon fiber center console, and carbon fiber three-spoke steering wheel.  The original owner of the car drove 75k miles during his 5-year custodianship before the car was sold and spent time in Indiana, Arizona, and Pennsylvania all while driven sparingly and receiving a host of high-end upgrades. Its 3.6L flat-six Mezger engine was upgraded with an EVOMS GT700 package while other additions included Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Bilstein coilovers, and a GT2 slave cylinder. It was acquired by the current owner in Massachusetts about one year ago and has since been treated to additional upgrades and engine-out service including pinned coolant lines, larger fuel injectors, a Protomotive tune and clutch, Numeric Racing shifter, and gold 18” BBS wheels.  Showing approximately 114k miles on the odometer, this Turbo is being offered for auction out of Massachusetts.

This Coupe wears the iconic Porsche color of Speed Yellow and features gloss carbon fiber caps, yellow PCCB calipers, a GT2-style rear wing, and stud-fastened 18” BBS E88 wheels mounted with Toyo Proxes R888 tires and center caps on custom Butzigear adapters. Some touch-ups and signs of road-going wear are present on the front end, and the seller reports a rectangular patch-like blemish on the right front hood. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The premium Brown Natural Leather interior is complemented by factory optional carbon fiber trim including a rear center console and three-spoke steering wheel.  Other options include Porsche Communication Management (PCM) as well as heated and power-operated seats with lumbar support.

During the car’s time in Arizona, its twin-turbocharged 3.6L flat-six Mezger engine was upgraded with the Evolution Motorsports GT700 package, which equips a high-flow intake system along with Alpha GT28 V3 turbochargers.  Other modifications included EVOMS intercoolers, 997 headers, a cat-less X-pipe exhaust, 997 coil packs, and an HKS boost controller.  A 6-speed manual transmission drives all four wheels while stopping power is derived from upgraded Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) installed under prior ownership. The suspension was also upgraded with Bilstein PSS10 coilovers, new control arms, and Tarett drop links.

Since acquiring the car, the seller has commissioned a major engine-out service by Eurosport Performance including pinned/welded coolant lines and rebuilding of the vacuum system as well as replacement of the alternator and spark plugs.  The fuel system was upgraded during this time with larger ID1300CC injectors, a Walbro Hellcat pump, Aeromotive filter, and 8AN lines.  An upgraded Protomotive Duel clutch kit was also installed along with a new master cylinder, new GT2 slave cylinder, a Numeric short shifter and cables, and a Protomotive tune currently set to run on E85.  The seller has offered to change the tune for standard pump gas upon the next owner’s request.

This sale will include a clean title.

@Silversurfer appears that they back channeled a deal to make it so. I only know I wasn't consulted. Congrats to @lt64 who was the most interested all along.

@944TurboCabrio Personally love the way they ride, I think my 911 handles bumps better then my x5 sometimes.

  • DSerino10 (seller) 2 years, 7 monthsago

@lt64 Physically I wont be able to, by the time I leave work, go home and get my laptop and get to where I store the car, sadly the auction will be over. I remember doin the math and the over rev report was good.

  • 944TurboCabrio 2 years, 7 monthsago

@DSerino10 What is your take on the ride?

  • lt64 (registered bidder) 2 years, 7 monthsago

Would it be possible to upload the over rev report?

  • DSerino10 (seller) 2 years, 7 monthsago

@944TurboCabrio Sorry i completely forgot to upload photos of undercarriage , I’ll upload them now. Car has zero rust though ! Bilsteins we’re put on a couple thousand miles ago by last owner, and we’re sourced from Butzigear.

  • 944TurboCabrio 2 years, 7 monthsago

    Hi there,
I dont see pictures any where from under neath the car.
Is the car free from rust and corrosion?
I am aware of it living in a sunny area much of the time - but it is 20 years old now (I feel strange putting a 996TT into the over 20 year range ?).
Also any switches and functions that are not working?

    When were the Bilsteins installed?

    Cheers

    Niels

Final Day, Lets Get This SOLD!!!!

  • Lovetheturbos (registered bidder) 2 years, 7 monthsago

@lt64 I have an 01' 996tt with Natural Brown and mine looks very similar to this. I've seen later years that look different than mine even though they say Natural Brown.

@lt64 I am not using Protomotives intakes, the car has the intake directly mounted to the turbos to create optimal throttle response. They are protected by waterproof covers, which honestly doesn't matter because I do not drive this in the rain. R888s do not like the cold or wet.

  • lt64 (registered bidder) 2 years, 7 monthsago

To run the protomotive maf-less tune are you running their fender well intake?

  • DSerino10 (seller) 2 years, 7 monthsago

@lt64 Ceramics we’re out on by the last owner and installed and inspected by AIM, plenty of life left. The GT2 wheel will be included if ne wiener wants them.

  • lt64 (registered bidder) 2 years, 7 monthsago

Are the GT2 wheels also available?

@lt64 We have rain here till Thursday, I can to get a video of a walk around and interior then. Interior is all original and not dyed. Need to remember sun can change leather color, My e36 with Modena turned peanut butter from the sun. Color looks pretty close, smidge off due to editing. You sure your not thinking of Savanah beige, as natural brown is very rare?

  • lt64 (registered bidder) 2 years, 7 monthsago

Was the interior redyed at any point? Color looks different than most natural brown interiors I've seen

  • lt64 (registered bidder) 2 years, 7 monthsago

Would it be possible to upload a quick walkaround of the exterior/interior? The color balance and exposure seems a little off

  • DSerino10 (seller) 2 years, 7 monthsago

@luis.seneriz I think I may have one, not sure how or where to post it.

  • luis.seneriz (registered bidder) 2 years, 7 monthsago

Would you mind taking a pic of the Evoms intake please??

  • DSerino10 (seller) 2 years, 7 monthsago

@luis.seneriz Yes, the Evoms intake, original shifter assembly, factory radio and other misc accessories can all be included if the buyer wants them.

  • luis.seneriz (registered bidder) 2 years, 7 monthsago

Sam at auto by design told me about maf less tuning. Anyway I bought an 03 turbo 2 weeks ago. I like that this one is modified. I drive my cars no garage Queens for me.

  • luis.seneriz 2 years, 7 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $9,962

  • luis.seneriz (registered bidder) 2 years, 7 monthsago

It’s the Evoms intake included in the sale?? Thanks

  • DSerino10 (seller) 2 years, 7 monthsago

@luis.seneriz The EVOMs intake was removed when the car was converted to full mafless for the Protomotive tune. The small square device is a HKS electronic boost controller that allows you to have three boost settings.

  • luis.seneriz (registered bidder) 2 years, 7 monthsago

Any pictures of the evolution Motorsports intake?? Also what is the square small thing in center console below the car play unit to the right, just want to make sure??

  • DSerino10 (seller) 2 years, 7 monthsago

@lt64 The Alpine head unit does support Apple Car Play. The factory transmission is more then capable of handling this sort of power, especially when equipped with Protomotive's Clutch kit. Only real issues you see with these trannys is second gear pop out, which my car does not do. With the Numeric chassis mounted shifter and GT3 cables, you do hear more from the transmission then a stock car.

  • lt64 (registered bidder) 2 years, 7 monthsago

Is the transmission built at all to support the power levels? Any transmission whine?

  • lt64 (registered bidder) 2 years, 7 monthsago

    Any videos of it starting/running/driving?
    Does the headunit have carplay?

  • DSerino10 (seller) 2 years, 7 monthsago

@matpatte Car is AWD, the fan was by one of the previous owner, which is common because they don't do much. Todd from Protomotive has us use a laptop with his flashing tool on it to swap tunes. Also use durametric with the cable to log the car. Durametric cable is included and links to software files will be provided.

  • DSerino10 (seller) 2 years, 7 monthsago

@Lottacars No track time to my knowledge , I ran the overrev report it wasn't out of the norm.

  • matpatte (registered bidder) 2 years, 7 monthsago

Is the cooling fan missing from the engine hood?

  • matpatte (registered bidder) 2 years, 7 monthsago

Car is now AWD again? Is there a handheld tuner so one could switch between e85, 91, or 93 tunes at anytime?

  • Lottacars (registered bidder) 2 years, 7 monthsago

How much track time? Any overrevs?
