It is our pleasure to present this 2002 Mercedes-Benz R129 SL500 Silver Arrow. Offered exclusively in special Silver Arrow Metallic paint over a two-tone black and silver Nappa leather interior, the Silver Arrow edition pays homage to the dominant Mercedes-Benz race cars of the 1930s. Only 1,450 examples of the SL500 Silver Arrow were produced for the U.S. market at the conclusion of R129 production. This nicely represented SL500 shows under 53k miles on the odometer and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
This special edition is finished in its original Silver Arrow Metallic paint, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery. This Silver Arrow also came equipped with model-specific badging the AMG Sport aerodynamic styling package including a revised front fascia, rear bumper, and side skirts. It rides on 18” BBS two-piece alloy wheels which are currently dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires.
The silver and black Nappa leather upholstery is specific to the Silver Arrow models, as is the machined aluminum gauge cluster, shifter gate, and dark wood trim. It also features aluminum pedals, special illuminated doorsill plates, and a commemorative “Silver Arrow” logo in front of the gear selector.
The R129 SL500 is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 engine that makes up to 302 HP and 339 lb.-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission. This vehicle was recently serviced this past October, and all other available maintenance history is provided on CARFAX.
This sale will include the owner's books and a clean title. One of the rarest and most sought-after versions of the R129, the SL500 Silver Arrow is a true collector’s item.

No mention of a single ‘issue’. No flaws in the bodywork, no wear on the interior, no mechanical need or non-working item on a 20 year old vehicle, right?
